I groan as I opened my eyes and I was in an unfamiliar place, making me on high alert. I get up and I pushed myself up, just as someone walks around the corner I rushed up to them and pinned them to the wall.
"Woah, hey, hey!" I hear and I see the older guy from before, "Let him go. You're fine." The guy says and I gave him a look.
"Where am I? Where's my stuff?" I asked looking at him, and he slowly approaches me.
"Your stuff is right there. You're at my school. We brought you here after you passed out." The guy says before looking at the kid in my grip, "Let the boy go." I stayed still for a couple seconds before I let go of the kid I had in my grip. The guy nods at the kid and the kid runs out of here in a flash. Vampire.
"Are you okay?"
"I'm-I'm fine. How long was I out for?" I asked looking at him.
"10 hours. Didn't think you were going to pull through." He says and I sighed, shaking my head slightly, "I'm Dr Alaric Saltzman."
"Charmeine." I told him and he nods.
"What are you?" He asked and I raised an eyebrow making him slightly chuckle, "It's fine. I know everything."
"Figures. Considering you were with a witch." I said, pursing my lips and he frowns a little.
"How do you know that?" He asked and I go to answer but I pause for a second.
"You know it's rude to be eavesdropping?" I said, out in the open making Alaric confused and before I know it, the red head from earlier walks in.
"How'd you know?"
"I'm a Nephilim."
"Wait, you're an angel?" She says and I titled my head a bit.
"Not as interesting as a Tribrid honestly." I said, and she looks taken back.
"How do you know what I am?"
"Mum was a Crescent Alpha, Dad was an Original and your grandmother was a witch. Here by, Tribrid. It's great to meet you Hope." I said, and she frowns.
"How do you know me?"
"You're talk of the supernatural world and I'm up to date with the gossip. My kind, we're enforcers of the supernatural, like the law. We protect the factions."
"You're saying that like there are many other supernatural beings." Alaric says and I raised an eyebrow.
"There are. Angels, Vampires, Fairies, Demons, Witches and the list goes on."
"Wait, no-no way." Hope says and I raised an eyebrow.
"Why is that so hard to believe? You faced a dragon today."
"I mean, yeah but- there's no way they are real that's just what you hear in stories and fairy tales." She says, crossing her arms.
"That actually was a dragon?" Alaric says and I frowned a little.
"I know it's been a few years since seeing a dragon but I didn't think humans we're actually oblivious to them." I said, Alaric and Hope look even more confused.
"When was the last time you saw a dragon?" Alaric asked and I looked at him, shrugging.
"I mean it was years ago, centuries ago. I was a kid when I last saw them but I didn't think they wouldn't have not existed now."
"We didn't know about your kind." Alaric says and I nodded.
"We don't really make ourselves known, considering we're the police of the supernatural. We're not really supposed to mingle with humans, it's not allowed." I said, and he nods.
"That's interesting." Alaric says and I nodded slowly.
"Uh, look, I better get going. Thanks for helping me." I said, and I picked my bag up to leave.
"Hey, you don't have to go." He says and I frowned, "This is a school, for the supernatural."
"I appreciate the offer, but I gotta leave." I said, and I walked past him trying to find the exit. I walked towards where I think it is and walking right out the front door, before he stops me.
"Look, we need your help because apparently there's a whole other world we don't know about. And I don't know if I can take being attacked by a dragon again." Alaric says and I turned to look at him before I was caught off guard.
I was out front of the house we were at or the school and I recognised bits of it from my visions I had been getting. I looked at the sign, 'Salvatore Boarding School for The Gifted'.
"I know this place." I mumbled as realisation hits me as I looked over it.
"What?" Hope says and I looked to see her standing next to Alaric.
"I-I don't know how I know but that knife today that killed the dragon? I've seen that knife before somewhere and something tells me that's what the creatures are after."
"Creatures? As in plural?" Alaric says and I nodded.
"You can't just dump this on us and leave." Hope says and I see her frowning a bit.
"Look, I would love to help but I can't."
"Why don't you stay? I mean you clearly not in any state to leave and plus, I could always use the help. Considering I don't know what we're up against, I'm going to need all the help I can get." Alaric says and I pursed my lips, looking over at the school.
My visions have lead me here, I may as well stick around to find out why.
"Fine."
