I had finished up with Emma, and it felt nice to get a few things off my chest about how I was feeling. It all felt surreal to me. I shake the thought out of my head, and I decided to go to my room to take Penelope's elixir to try and sleep.

I maneuverer my way towards the Grand Hall, and I see Rafael with the rest of the wolves preparing for the twins 16th Birthday. I smiled as I spotted him, I hadn't seen him much today I walked over as I see him lifting up a table and I helped him.

"Hey." I said, and he gives me a quick smile.

"Hey." He says and then silence passed between us, it felt a little off.

"Are you okay?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah, yeah, fine." Rafael says before turning around to the other wolves, "Let's get the rest of these chairs and tables and get them out of here. Let's go!" They all scattered off making me chuckle.

"Perks of being an Alpha, getting to tell people what to do." I said, looking at him.

"More like a bunch of shadows waiting to be told what to do."

"Who put you on party duty?"

"I volunteered." Rafael says and I nodded lightly. I don't think I've ever felt this awkward, so I cleared my throat.

"I better get going, I need to rest up before tonight if I want to get my party on." I said, smirking and about to walk off.

"Actually, I kind of need help with something." He says, making me turn around, "There's no fancy parties in grand ballrooms where I come from. I need to know what to expect for tonight. I don't want to let Lizzie down."

"Who cares what she thinks?" I said, chuckling lightly.

"I do, I'm her date." He says and my smile wipes off my face. Lizzie Saltzman, was someone who no one liked in the school but her twin, Josie who I got along with very well.

"I guess me thinking of asking you to come with me was a bad idea then." I said, chuckling nervously.

"You're the only person I wanna go with." Rafael says and I frowned.

"Not to sound like a bitch or anything, why are you taking her?" I said, and he wouldn't meet my eye, "Did I miss something?"

"I-it's nothing." He says and I knew he was lying but I just nodded anyway.

"I guess I'll see you tonight then." I said, turning around and going up to my room. I was walking and I happened to bump into Josie and Lizzie, great.

"Hey, Charm." Josie says and I smiled.

"Happy Birthday Saltzman." I said, and she smiles. I turned to her blonde twin, pursing my lips before looking back at Josie.

"Thank you. You're coming tonight, right?"

"I wouldn't miss it. Let's hope I can put this 16th on my party list." I said, smirking and she chuckles, "I'll see you later." I walked away from them and got into the room sighing to myself.

I don't know why I was acting so jealous, but maybe I had feelings. But I didn't want to put myself in a position like that again, I looked down at my ring, feeling mixed emotions. I hear the door open and I see Hope walk in.

"Hey thanks by the way for ratting me out to Emma." I said, giving her a look and she sighs.

"I'm sorry, but Alaric and I thought it would be good-,"

"Or so you're blabbering to anyone now? Thank you."

"What's got your panties in a twist?" She asked as I glared at her making me sigh.

"Nothing. I'm just hoping once I drink this elixir I don't ever have to wake up." I said, grabbing the bottle from my pocket and drinking it making Hope laugh.

"That's a stretch."

"You know I thought being a normal teenager in school would be a great learning experience. But all I've learnt is that it's an endless cycle of awkwardness." I said, and she smirks.

"Is this about Rafael?"

"If you won't talk about Landon to me, I'm not talking about Raf to you."

"I so do talk about Landon to you." Hope says and I gave her a look making her sigh, "Oh okay, I might talk about him. It's hard for me to talk about my feelings."

"I'm in the same bloody boat as you, but I have to keep my feelings in check so I don't wipe out the entire world."

"That wouldn't be so bad."

"Yeah, then maybe I can be free of you." I said, and she gasps making me smirk. I felt my eyes getting heavier as I slipped myself into bed.

"You are so lucky I actually care about your mental health." Hope says and I just smirked as my eyes closed.

"Mae." The unfamiliar guy says and I frowned, looking at him.

"Do I know you?" I asked, looking at him. He had dark brown hair, was tall and undoubtedly attractive.

"Uh, no sorry. You just look like someone I used to know a long time ago." The guy says and I nodded, frowning a little and I tilted my head.

"We better get going girls, we don't want mum to be upset we're late." Alaric says and I kept my eyes on the guy for a while before I turned on my heel.

I gasped a little as I sat up straight and I looked around to see that I was back in the room. I sighed, realising that I had another precognition but not knowing why that one came to me. I sighed, shaking my head before pushing the covers off my body.

I wanted a glass of water, I walked out and down towards the kitchen where I see Penelope and MG standing around. I grabbed my water and I looked at Penelope who was giving me a knowing smirk.

"See you look better." Penelope says and I rolled my eyes.

"So maybe I took your elixir, bite me."

"I'm no vampire but I will." She says and I chuckled.

"You seen Hope?"

"Yeah, she's with your boyfriend in the gym." Penelope says and I gave her the finger as I walked off.

"See you tonight." I said, and I walked off towards the gym.

I got near and I could see Hope there with Rafael, making me smile a bit. I walked closer seeing that they were in a heated argument, I was about to make an entrance when the next words made me stop.

"I can't believe you slept with Lizzie Saltzman." Hope says, and I swear I could hear my heart break.

"I didn't say I was proud of it." Rafael contours. Hope then goes to say something else but then she spots me, making her eyes go wide. Rafael looks confused before following her eyesight and he spots me.

"Charm-," He starts but I just scoffed to myself and I walked right out, tears coming out, not only because of sadness, but of anger. Angry that I let myself feel weak.
