<< Hope, we're here>> said Emma, turning off the yellow bug's engine and reaching her teenage daughter in the back of the car.
Hope unwilling took off her headphones, letting out a sigh.
They had finally arrived.
Storybrooke, Maine.
The girl jumped out of the car, closing her eyes as, all of sudden, the ocean's scent filled her lungs.
She stood motionless, letting a fresh breeze caress her skin.
<< So, what do you think?>>
Hope, apparently, had no interest in responding.
Instead, she took a few steps towards the car, only to get her backpack.
<< You know I don't like the sea, mom>> said she.
As a matter of fact, the young lady's love for the sea had faded away many months before.
Her father had the habit of bringing her to the docks, most likely to teach her how to sail, and of course spend time with her.
But ever since her parents got divorced and Killian, her dad, moved to New York, she had no interest in seeing the ocean anymore.
Memories had become Hope's worst nightmare.

<< Emma! Hope! You're finally here!>> Mary Margaret stood in the doorway, her lips curled into a huge smile, as she waited for the girls to come in.
<< Mom! It's so nice to see you again!>> said Emma, smiling brightly.
Hope took a few steps forward, and not even two seconds after she found herself wrapped in her grandmother's embrace.
<< Hope, look at you! Oh my God, you grew up, indeed! Come, your grandfather has been waiting for you.>> and with that, they all walked inside.
<< Hope, welcome back!>> said David, who couldn't help but be thrilled, knowing that the family finally was reunited.
<< Thanks grandpa, it's nice to see you again>>
<< Hope, sweetie, you can take off your jacket, if you want>> Mary told her.
<< It's fine Grandma, I like the jeans jacket.>> the girl explained.
<< Okay...but now, go upstairs and get your stuff ready, so then we can have dinner.>>
<< Sure, I'll be right back>>
Hope glanced at the bed, as she got upstairs.
It certainly wasn't huge, but it looked comfortable.
She took a few steps towards the wardrobe, and as she opened it, she noticed something she hadn't seen in a long time.
" Mom's red leather jacket" thought she, whilst letting her hand run over the leather.
~Killian carefully held the newborn, making sure not to hurt her with his hook.
As days went by, the pirate got to realize that he had found the greatest treasure of all. His daughter.
Emma had reassured him, he was going to be a great father, capable of showing to his little girl all the love he felt for her.
And you could tell from her smile: as her dad held her, that baby girl was more than happy.~
The vision she had faded away, in a heartbeat.
She stood there, wordless.
She had just seen herself and her parents, in a completely unknown situation.
" What the heck was that?" she questioned herself.

<< Mom? Can we please talk for a second?>> asked Hope, whilst sitting on the couch.
<< Of course, sweetheart>> Emma gave her a small smile, than sat beside her.
<< What's up?>>
<< Well, I found your leather jacket...>> she paused for a second, suddenly realizing how crazy the whole thing was going to sound.
<< And as I touched it, I... I saw something. Like memories, or whatever...>>
<< What kind of memories?>> asked Emma, visibly confused.
<< Well... I was still a newborn, you and dad were sitting on the couch, holding me. And dad... mom, dad was wearing a hook>>
Emma's eyes widened.
But then, all of sudden, a small and innocent smile appeared on her face.
She gently stroked her daughter's hair.
<< Peter Pan. Your dad hated this movie, but you loved it so much. And to see your shining smile, your sparkling eyes... he would do anything. You used to watch it every Friday evening. Do you remember which character you loved the most?>>
Hope couldn't help but let a few tears slowly fill her eyes.
<< Captain Hook>> she answered, her voice breaking.
<< Yes, you loved him. You used to call Killian that way during your role-plays in the garden. Maybe sometimes these memories... haunt you, that's all.>> a lonely tear rolled over Hope's rosy cheek, as Emma pulled her in for a hug.
<< Hi guys, I'm home>> a tall boy, just a few years older than Hope, was standing at the doorway.
<< Emma, Hope! You're here!>>
<< Hey little brother!>> Emma smiled, realizing how grown up Neal was.
<<Hi uncle Neal!>> said Hope, letting out a soft chuckle.
Every time she remembered that the brown haired guy who was just five years older than her was her uncle, she couldn't help but laugh. Her family tree was kinda messed up.
