Chapter 24 : Welcome Back

8 years after.

I am here at the veranda of our house. I see the beautiful view of the city. I am already settled here in France 3 years na ang nakakalipas. I am officially a Professor sa pinakasikat na Culinary school dito. I love to teach students, they are so kind and it is easy for them to catch up with our lessons every time I discussed and they are great din sa pagde-demo cooking.

It's been 8 years since I left Philippines. 5 years akong nasa United States to finished my studies sa famous culinary school doon. And 3 years na din ang nakakalipas since lumipat naman ako dito sa France para magturo sa isang culinary school na pag-aari ng Yussey Corporation.. How I missed my friends in the Philippines so much. I don't know if how I took this long na mag stay dito. Eight years also passed since, naaksidente ako sa minamaneho kong sports car and nag 50/50 daw ako at himala nalang ang pagkagising ko. Everything was so fine now, nagamot na din ang sakit ko sa puso, that's why I am happy now. What happend to my past? It's all in the past and I don't care anymore.

"Madam, Mr. Lee is downstairs. He's waiting for you Madam." sabi ng isa sa mga maid dito sa bahay.

"Ok, tell him to wait me at the living room. I'll just fix myself for 10 minutes." sagot ko at tumayo na at naglakad patungo sa loob ng kwarto ko. Una kong inaayos ang buhok ko like a messy ponny-tail.

Malakas na buntong hininga ang pinakawalan ko. Ewan ko ba bakit kinakabahan ako? Everything was settled na. "You can do it." sambit ko sa sarili ko. I walked downstairs to see Mr. Lee, my dear boy bestfriend.

"Ready? Princess?" tanong niya sa akin sabay hawak sa kamay ko.

"Yeah. I think so." sabi ko na tila ba ay nae-excite ako.

"Shall we go?" pag-aayaya niya sa akin.

"Tara. I am so damn excited and I don't know why. Maybe dahil makikita ko na si Ate ulit and mga friends ko doon." sambit ko na may ngiti at bakas ng kasiyahan sa mukha.

Airport.. .

"Tara na at mahuli pa tayo sa flight natin." Tingnan mo itong lalaking ito mas excited pa sakin.

"Oo na po. One last look, I'll miss this place kahit 1 month lang tayong mawawala dito." sabi ko sa kanya sabay buntong hininga.

Yeah right, we're going back to the Philippines. I have a contest na dapat puntahan doon. I am not a contestant there but a judge in the contest. One month lang ang sabi sa contract. I accepted it because it's vacation naman. So be it..

Naglakad na kami papasok sa airplane at umupo sa assigned seats namin. Bigla akong nag-unat at naghikab, I am so damn sleepy, di ako nakatulog ng maayos nitong mga nakaraang araw dahil na din sa pag aasikaso ko sa mga certificates at documents ng 'candidates for graduation' students ko ngayong taon.

"Princess, take a rest first. I'll wake you up when we are in the Philippines already." sabi niya at sinandal ang ulo ko sa balikat niya. I feel so comfortable in his shoulders, my boy best friend wala pa ding kupas.

"Ok, I'll just take a rest. good night. Hahahaha." I am so sleepy and my eyes is slowly closing.
