I was called to testify against Logan and Nathan, but every time I went, Noah was with me, being my rock. The trial went on for a good two months and finally, we find out the sentence for both of them. Noah and I are hanging close by so we can go in when their ready.

"I'm proud of you, you know that right." Noah says, laying an arm across my shoulders before kissing the side of my head.

"Yeah. I'm just happy that it's finally over, just sucks that it was Carolyns son." We saw her and my mom in the courtroom, but it was a simple nodding of the head. Carolyn looked like she would do something to accuse me of lying, but Noah dragged me away. The district attorney is walking up to us.

"They're doing the sentencing now, when you're ready." She says, before turning around and walking back. I stand up and nod, before Noah can ask me if I'm ready. We walk back towards the room and take our seats in the back and stand as the judge walks out.

"Has the jury reached a verdict?" The judge asks.

"We have, your honor." The foreman go gives the paper to the bailiff who then passes it to the judge.

"The jury finds you both guilty on all charges." I look to Noah and almost start crying.

"I did it." I whisper. The defense looks irritated and Logan turns back to me, but I ignore him. I watch him get marched off to booking and the same with Nathan.

"You are the bravest person, Hazel." The DA says, holding her hand out.

"If I could be honest, I was terrified." I say, Noah wrapping his arm around my waist, but that didn't go unnoticed.

"You found yourself a good one. You deserve to be happy." I nod and she leaves, Carolyn and my mom coming up to me.

"I'm so sorry for Nathan." Carolyn says and I nod.

"I'm sorry he's going to jail."

"If anything, it'll teach him not to meddle in other people's problems." She gives me a hug, moving off to the side so my mom can talk to me.

"I'm sorry about everything." She says and I hug her, feeling tears slip down my face. "Nathan told me about Noah and I'm gonna assume he spun the truth."

"He did. Noah will never hurt me." I say, laying my head on his shoulder.

"Call me if you want to catch up sometime." I nod and she leaves.

"Let's get out of here." I say and Noah nods, leading me outside to his car. We pull out and head back to the apartment. Noah gets out and walks me to the door.

"I have to go run errands." He says, before kissing me. "I'll see you tonight. Dress nice. 7." He heads back to the elevator and I stand, watching long after he's out of sight.

"Earth to Hazel." I turn, beet red to Natalie and Peter, who are looking at me with a knowing look. I follow them inside and there's champagne on the table. Peter holds out a glass to me and I take it.

"To starting over and best friends." I say, holding up my glass and take a sip.

"I'm gonna assume the trial went good." Nat says.

"Both are guilty." I say, sitting down on the couch, Natalie and Peter following my lead. "It's finally over." I start crying and two pairs of arms surround me.

"You deserve it." Natalie says and I relax, letting my head fall on her shoulder, shutting my eyes.

"Shit Hazel! Wake up!!" I wake up to see Natalie running frantic and I check my watch to see I have an hour and a half before my date with Noah. I sit up and stretch before getting off the couch and letting myself be at the mercy of Nat.

"What's first, boss." I ask and she gives me a list of things to do, which one was a shower. I turn off the shower and dry myself off, seeing the most gorgeous black dress with lace sleeves, a square neckline, and it flows out just a touch from the waist, going to just above knee length. There is a bottle of perfume and lotion, with a note not to spray too much. I look at the perfume to see my favorite springtime scent, even though it's winter. I follow the directions, slipping on the dress just as a knock sounds at the door.

"It's me." Nat says and I tell her to come in and looks at me like she won the lottery. "You look like a million bucks, H." She helps me do my hair as I finish my makeup, keeping it light. She finished my hair and it's kept down in curls, but one side has a small braid in it.

"You are skilled." I say as Nat gives me my shoes, which are black heels and we walk out to see Peter changed into a suit. He's standing by the door and I look at him before turning to Nat to also see she changed into a cute navy blue dress. She hands me my jacket and my purse, before mumbling something and running to her room. She comes back with a simple necklace that has a single charm on it.

"It's complete. Let's go." We leave and Peter escorts me to the car and I look at Nat, only for her to shake her head at me. I laugh as we pull into traffic.

~~~~~~~~~~~
After what seems like forever, we finally pull through the private airstrip and cut the engine. I get out and look around, the only thing here is a jet. Natalie holds my arm and we walk towards the jet, which opens to show a man walking down the stairs, in a pair of grey pants, a blue shirt, with a grey tie.
"Noah?" I ask and he nods, before looking me up and down.
"You are beautiful, H." He says, offering his elbow out to me and leads up on the plane, but stops.
"Noah? Are you okay?" I ask, when he drops down to one knee and automatically my hands fly to my mouth.
"Hazel Green Clark, ever since that moment in the bar, I have not been able to get you out of my mind. You are shy, but that's what makes you intriguing. I love your willingness to learn and your smile, it's like a breath of fresh air. I love you so much Hazel, and would you be my wife?" He finishes and I feel tears slip down my face. I look at Nat and Peter to see big smiles and Nat nodding at me. I turn back to Noah, who looks like he's not confident in what I would say. I smile and nod my head, getting eye level with him and hold his face in my hands.
"I would love to be your wife." I kiss him and his arms tighten around me, invoking cheers from our little fan club. I pull away, but not after Noah kisses my nose. He puts the ring on my finger and it is beautiful. It has small diamond stones at the top, not having the top stone and I admire it and the man who gave it to me, before tears slide down my face again. Noah sees it and rubs a thumb across my cheeks.
"Talk to me, sweetheart." He says.
"I just never thought I would see the day where I would be getting married." I say with a small smile and Noah holds me.
"Honestly, I have to say the same thing." He whispers.
"You two are adorable! Now go on your date." I look at her suspiciously.
"You two knew, didn't you?" I ask and Natalie looks around before smiling and I start laughing, walking to both of them and giving them hugs. "I love you guys." I say before Nat gently pushes me towards Noah who is boarding the jet.
"Have fun!" She says as she walks away with Peter. I look back towards Noah, who is holding a hand out for me to take, which I do. He leads me to the cockpit, but the pilot seat.
"I'm gonna teach you how to fly." He says, putting the headset on and I follow suit, taking my heels off. He talks to the tower and then slowly walks me through it, helping me along the way.
 I get to spend the rest of my life with this man, who gave me a reason to trust, to love again.
Noah looks at me, with a smile on his face. "What are you thinking?" I reply with a smile.
"I get to spend the rest of my life with you." He replies by kissing me before getting back to the job at hand.
Yep, best date ever.
