"You need to stay away from her." Noah says and I sneak a peek to see my mother standing in the doorway. I slither closer to the comfort of Noah in hopes of getting out of the presence of my mother.

"You can't protect her." I gather enough courage to finally stand up to her.

"I'm 26, still have a chance to find love and I did. Someone who I felt I clicked with, someone who can fly, but most of all, someone who makes me happy. He doesn't have to have money, I will still love him for him and not his checkbook." I finish, pulling Noah up with me so that we can get to the airport. We walk past, but there was no expression on her face so we just walk past, as I'm holding onto Noah to help keep me upright. We get to the car and Noah opens the door for me and I slide in as he shuts the door. Everyone files in and Noah starts the car. We pull out and head to the airport when Noah's phone starts to ring.

"Watson here." He says. "Oh hey, Dean. Yeah, the plane is there and I left the keys with a friend of mine who I trust." He replies. "Okay, good. Sorry, it's been one hell of a weird day. Go ahead with that." Noah finishes before hanging up.

"Everything okay?" I ask but he shakes his head as we pull up to the rental agency. We park and open up the back to get our stuff out. I hear the sound of a jet and I look up just as one takes off.

"Everything's gonna be okay, Hazel." Noah says, laying an arm around my shoulder and I lean into him. We all walk inside to return the keys and get our bags checked.

"You're Noah Watson." The check-in clerk asks in shock. I look at Noah to figure out what she was excited about.

"That's me. Did I miss something important?" He asks, slipping his hand into mine.

"You're famous." The lady says, taking our luggage onto the conveyor belt to be scanned by TSA.

"How?" He asks.

"The CEO of the airlines is raving about you." She gushes and I look at him before he says his thanks and we walk towards security. I stop once we reach the checkpoint and Noah turns to face me.

"H?" He asks me.

"My mom..."I trail off.

"Your mind is processing the trauma, which is perfectly fine. I'll be next to you at all times to help you through everything, okay?" He tells me with kindness in his eyes and I wrap my arms around his shoulders in a hug. I relax as he holds my hand as we continue to security. We present our ID and plane tickets to the desk agent and continue to putting our items in the bins. I walk through the scanner when I'm told to stand off to the side.

" Is there something wrong, officer?" I ask the female agent. I look for Natalie and she turns to face me, followed by Noah and Peter. I gesture for Nat to come and Peter grabs the bin of my things.

"Miss, is she your companion?" I nod and we go into a room.

"What an I being searched for?" I ask as Nat stands close by. The agent stands off a little ways and I suddenly get really scared.

"We got a tip about you carrying a bomb." My legs give out and I hit the floor in fear.

"W-was it a woman's voice?" I ask and the agent nods. "It was my mother."

"Can we get on with the checks that you do so we don't miss our flight?" Natalie says and the agent nods, going through the procedures and once she is done, she apologizes for the delay and leads us out to the screening area. I'm hiding my face in Natalie's shoulder as she helps me put my shoes on and grabs my belongings to carry to our gate. We make it to find we still have 45 minutes left till our flight begins to board. "I'm gonna go grab some snacks. Noah will stay here with you." Nat says and I nod before her and Peter leave. Noah moves next to me.

"What happened, darling?" He asks me and I respond by laying my head on his shoulder and close my eyes.

"Sir, you can't carry her onto the plane." The gate attendant says and I open my eyes to see myself in Noah's arms.

"Noah, please put me down." I ask and he complies, setting me on my feet. I currently didn't care that I looked like I just woke up so I scan my ticket and wait for the group as we walk down the jetway. I quickly fix my hair as I hear the familiar sounds of the jet engines. Noah taps me on the shoulder and he walks in front of me, leading the way. I hold his shirt sleeve as the flight attendants greet us and we go to find our seats. Thankfully, the rows are six across and I have the window seat while Noah has the middle seat. There is a man who stands up to move out of the way as I file in and Noah follows. I buckle the seatbelt and store my things under the seat in front of me as Noah does the same. I lean forward to find Natalie and Peter in the row at the other end of us and she waves and I return it.

"You doing okay, Hazel?" Noah asks me and I nod, leaning my head to look out the window. We were still on the tarmac, but we began taxing to the runway. The pilot does the usual while the flight attendants do the safety checks before I feel the plane stop. I hear power head into the engines as we begin accelerating and shortly, fly off into the sky. I smile as I hear Noah chuckle beside me.

"What?" I ask, laughing.

"I have never set foot in the cabin of the plane ever since I got my pilot's license." He says, holding my hand in his.

"How does it feel?" I ask.

"Weird." He replies, before grinning at me. "But it's all worth it to be next to you." I smile at him before leaning my head on his shoulder and closing my eyes.

I wake up from a jerk in the plane to see Noah talking to the flight attendant.

"Noah, what's going on?" I ask, sleepily.

"I have to go figure out what's wrong with the plane." He whispers to me and I nod before he kisses me and then leaves with the flight attendant. I glance over at Nat to see a look of confusion before moving over to sit next to me.

"He can fly. If anything, he can sure as hell be one knight in shining armor." She whispers and I nod before laying my head on her shoulders.

"Attention passengers, this is your captain speaking. We will be making an emergency landing in Norfolk. We here at Hibiscus Airlines apologize for this delay, but will make sure to have a connecting flight free of charge." I look at Natalie.

"He's gonna land it." I say, just as I hear the landing gears come down, followed by the flaps to control the airspeed, and finally landing with a bit of a jerk on the tarmac. I look out my window to see smoke ranging from the engine and I hold my breath as Noah slams on the brakes, jerking the passengers abroad.
