"So, are you going to tell me how you know Alex Fury then?" Kelsey handed me a coffee and slumped down on the sofa next to me.
I knew this was coming. I could only avoid it for so long.
"I knew Alex a long time ago... we have... history" I mumbled.
"What kind of history?"
"Well, I guess we were together for a while"
"Like together, together?"
I nodded.
"Oh girl, I would never have put you together with him! He's who all the girls swoon over. Obviously not me, but he is pretty popular round here"
I looked away, this was the last thing I wanted to hear.
"So how comes it ended?"
"Erm, well it's complicated. I didn't really have a choice."
Her brows crinkled. She was about to question me further when there was banging at the door.
"Eurgh, who is that? It's Sunday morning"
Kelsey got off the couch and shuffled towards the door. Opening it, she gasped as Alex pushed his way into the room. Startled I jumped off the couch, spilling my coffee everywhere. "Shit!"
"Oh hi Alex! Yes of course you can come in! I'm fine thanks, how are you?" Kelsey rolled her eyes and muttered expletives.

Grabbing some kitchen towels I started dabbing at my jeans.
"CeCe, we need to talk" His low, gravelly voice washed over me.
"Erm.." Why had I lost the ability to speak around him?
Kelsey cut in. "I'm going to go to my room for a minute. Clara, if you need me, just call!"
I noticed her look Alex up and down before she left.
I walked into the kitchen and placed my mug in the sink, I was about to turn around when two arms caged me in from either side. He nuzzled my neck and I shivered.
"CeCe, talk to me. Where have you been? Why are you back? Is it for good?"
I couldn't think straight when he was pushing against me. I could feel his arousal and I had no shame, the heat was building between my legs. He spun me round so we were looking into each other's eyes.
"Alex, there's too much to explain, it's been a long time. I don't know how long I'm back for, it's complicated"
"Who are you running from?"
"How do you know I'm running?"
"I know you, Clara"
He'd got me with that one.
"Look, you don't have to tell me right now, but mark my words, I will find out. Spend some time with me, I want to know you again. Please?"
Biting my lip, I heard a low growl coming from him.
"Okay"
I felt him release a breath.
"I'll pick you up tonight. Wear something warm"
"Where are we going?"
"It's a surprise. You used to like those"
My mind went back to a time when I had no worries and my only thoughts were of Alex and the time we spent together. A small smile appeared on my face.
"I missed that the most"
I looked up at him, confused.
"Seeing you smile, I missed that the most" he leant forward, kissed my forehead and was gone.

"Kelsey, I know you're listening, come out"
"I wasn't! Well maybe only a little! Sorry! Girl, that boy has got it bad for you!" She squealed.
I rolled my eyes and moved past her into the bathroom. I couldn't lie though, my heart was practically thumping out of my chest.
