As the taxi pulled up the gravel path way, the rain smacking against the windscreen, I felt numb. I actually welcomed it, it made a change from crying all the time. Paying the guy, I got out with all my bags. Glancing behind me, I saw the faint headlights of a motorcycle. Garrett thought I hadn't noticed him.

Unlocking the door, I walked into the entrance, the aroma of alcohol and musk filling my nostrils. Placing my bags on the stairs, I looked around. It seemed nothing had changed whilst my life had been falling apart. Footsteps approached me from behind. Without turning around, I knew who it was.

Sighing, I took a breath.
"Hello, Dad."
