"Yes. My time is almost up. And I'm asking you because you're the only one capable of protecting her."

"Nagisa?...Nagisa, wake up!"

"Daddy!"

"Nn...nh?"

Suddenly awakened by two desperate voices, I slowly open my eyes to find two charming black haired girls---one had a pair of golden yellow eyes while the little one had the same color as mine, who were frowning down at me.

The golden yellow eyed which was Akari pulls away after I opened my eyes and crosses her arms while the little blue eyed one which was our daughter Miyuki remained sitting on top of my bed.

"We're going out today. You promised, remember?" Akari exaggerated with a prideful attitude.

However, I was still feeling a little sleepy, so I pulled my blanket back and said, "Five more minutes!"

"Jeez!" Though, this made Akari a little upset and pouts.

Today is a weekend, so neither the two of us have to worry about our jobs. That said, Akari made plans for us this morning, but I was still down and late in bed.

I couldn't help it though. I was tired because of yesterday. Managing my work, the club at school, and fetching my little daughter from her school was a bit much for me to handle alone.

"I guess there's no helping it then. Yuki-chan?"

Suddenly, as everything became quiet, I heard a child sniffing and sobbing right around my left.

"Daddy...(sniff~)...you promised...(sniff~)"

Wait! Is Miyuki crying?!

I instantly burst out from my blanket and I find Miyuki rubbing her eyes. She was still sniffing and sobbing which actually put me to a loss.

"You promised...(sniff~) That you will come with me and Mommy to the park...(sniff~)"

There's no other thing in my mind as of now but to comfort her. That's the only thing.

"Miyuki? M-Miyuki, I was just kidding! See? Daddy's awake now!" I was obviously feeling nervous.

"You'll come with me?" Miyuki looks at me with a tearful eye.

"Yes, Miyuki! Daddy will come with you!"

  

  

  

"Yayy!" Suddenly, Miyuki switched her expression much quicker than how I anticipated.
