Dustin was beyond excited to take you out. Dinner and dancing under the stars to celebrate your promotion at work. It had taken him a lot of time and preparation that day, pulling in the guys to help him out. He was very pleased with what he had done. When you walked in from work, you were greeted with your handsome boyfriend standing in the living room in black dress pants, a black dress shirt, a red tie, and his black suit jacket, holding roses in his hand.

"Welcome home, baby," he greeted you, smiling. Ernie's little toenails signaled his entrance. You looked at the dog to see him wearing a little dog suit similar to Dustin's. You laughed, walking over and wrapping your arms around Dustin's neck.

"What's all this about?" you asked, gently cupping his neck.

"Celebrating you and how incredible you are," he smiled down at you, putting his hands on your hips. "Now, we have a schedule to keep. Go get ready," he gave you a kiss and sent you on your way.

You walked up the stairs to your shared bedroom, seeing a short red dress laying out on the bed with a pair of black heels on the floor under it. You smiled and shook your head, already wondering how indepth he had planned the evening. You showered quickly, curling your hair after it dried and putting on lacey matching underwear, wanting to at least surprise him a little bit of what he was surprising you.

After doing your makeup and dressing in the dress he had picked out for you, you put on a silver necklace in the shape of a star on before heading downstairs to meet your boyfriend. He stood from the couch as he heard your footsteps coming down the stairs. His jaw dropped as you came into view, stunned by your beauty. You smiled shyly at him, your cheeks filling with color as he stared at you. He extended his hand to you as you reached the bottom. Taking his hand gently, you stepped down to the floor. He leaned in, kissing your cheek.

"You look magnificent, darling," he whispered, kissing your cheek one more time before escorting you out to the car. He opened the door for you and helped you into the car, shutting the door for you before getting in on the driver side.

As he drove, he rested his hand on your thigh, rubbing it gently. He eventually stopped at a resturant, parking and going around to get your car door for you. He helped you out of the car and escorted you in, letting the hostess know his last name that he had put the reservation under. The two of you were lead to a secluded table. Dustin pulled your chair out for you and pushed it in before sitting down across from you. The waiter brought out a bottle of wine and poured some for each of you, leaving you alone to decide what to eat.

"Dustin, this is incredible. It wasn't that big a promotion or anything. Definetly doesn't warrant such a celebration." He reached over and took your hand in his, rubbing your knuckles.

"My love, I want to celebrate you any chance I can. I adore you in the truest sense of the word. It is more than love I feel for you. You are my air," he explained, his big, green eyes staring into yours. You took a deep breath, trying to catch the one he had taken from you.

"I love you, too, Dustin." You squeezed his hand, smiling at him so you didn't cry. He smiled back, lifting your hand up and kissing the back of it.

"Good. Now that that is settled. I'm hungry as hell," he laughed.

After dinner, the two of you got back in his car, you with no idea as to where you were headed. After a little while, Dustin stopped, parking the car. He opened your door for you once again, helping you out. He shut the door and pulled you out into the open grassfield of the park near your house. You grinned, following him. He pulled you along with him, his grin not leaving his beautiful face.

"Dustin, are we really going for a walk while I am in heels?" You laughed, pulling him close to you for warmth. He put his arm around your shoulders, holding you tightly.

"No, of course not." He kissed the top of your head and the two of you continued walking. He lead you into a guzebo, lit up in fairy lights and candles. A large smile lit up your face. The two of you walked up and stood in the middle of the guzebo, him drawing you close by your hips.

You put your arms around his neck and the two of you slowly began swaying to the sounds of your heartbeat. You rested your head on his chest as he took one of your hands, holding it. The sound of an acoustic guitar pulled your attention away from him. You looked up in confusion, though saw it was Ron with a keyboard, Brock with an acoustic, Adam there holding a cellphone, and Siobhan with her violin.

"What's this?" You asked, looking up at Dustin with big eyes. He smiled, kissing your lips softly.

"Just dance with me, y/n." You gave in, relaxing into his arms again and putting your head on his chest, closing your eyes and falling into him. He continued to dance with you, singing to you softly, his lips close to your ear.

"I love you," you whispered, just loud enough for him to hear over your friend's music. He kissed your forehead.

"I love you more," he replied, leaning in to kiss your lips deeply. You put your hand on the back of his neck, pulling him into you deeper. When you finally parted, the music stopped finally, him stepping away from you.

Your friends winked at you and he slowly pulled you away, waving to them and mouthing a thank you. He took you back to the car, driving the two of you home. Upon opening the door, you noticed that the entry way was lit up with candles and rose petals. You could have cried.

He took you into the living room where more candles were set up, surrounding the two of you in front of the coffee table. He smiled at you, cupping your cheek and kissing you softly. Dustin pulled something out of his pocket, keeping it away from your view.

"You know I love you, right?" He nudged your nose with his gently, looking into your eyes. You nodded, your mouth going dry out of nerves for what he was going to do next. Everything seemed too perfect. You couldn't help yourself. A tear leaked from your eye, reaching up to wipe it away quickly. He smiled at you softly.

"Yes," you replied, feeling him take your hand in his free one. He smiled.

"Now, this isn't an engagement ring. But it's just a step below. If you'll accept it," he paused, pulling back a little and opening his hand to reveal a simple, silver band. "I promise to love you, and, not right now, but someday soon; I promise to marry you and make you mine for eternity." Your tears flowed freely now, coming too quick for them to be wiped away easily and discretely. He leaned forward kissing your face and drying your tears with his lips. "Will you accept it?" He asked softly, continuing to kiss across your cheeks.

"I accept," you sobbed, wrapping your arms around his neck. He grinned, hugging you tightly, his face buried in your hair. You eventually pulled away, him taking the opprotunity to slide the band onto your left ring finger. He smiled and kissed you deeply, sweeping you off your feet and carrying you upstairs to the bedroom.

Two weeks later, Dustin was in his office working when you walked into the room, holding something behind your back.

"Hey," you greeted him. He set his pen down and spun around in his chair, grinning at you.

"Good afternoon, my love. What do you need?" He leaned towards you, waiting for you to speak. You grinned, moving towards him. You placed your hand on his, kneeling down in front of him. "What are you doing?" He questioned, raising his eyebrow. You smiled, rubbing his hand.

"I had a question for you." You smiled up at him, biting your lip. He nodded, leaning closer to you. "I promise to care for you and love you until you make me yours for eternity. Then, I shall be yours for as long as you want me. I will be yours for the rest of forever. Do you accept?" You opened your closed hand to reveal a silver band matching yours. He smiled at you, getting down on his knees as well. He took your hands in his, nodding to keep his voice from cracking.

You grinned, leaning forward and connecting your lips as you slipped the ring onto his left ring finger. He pulled you into his lap, holding onto you. He wrapped his arms around your waist and held you tightly in place. He pulled away a few moments later, nuzzling his head into your neck.

"Forever can't come soon enough," he whispered. You wrapped your arms around his neck, holding onto him. Forever could have stayed in that room with him and you would have been happy.
