There was a small voice in the far back of my mind screaming at me to run, but I knew I'd make it maybe ten feet before that....that monster....caught me. I stared, defiantly at the man and creature. The man seemed shady, with stubble on his chin and a ripped shirt, but at the same time, he seemed like a businessman? Yes, a businessman that wasn't going to leave until he gets whatever his heart desires.
The man started walking toward me, and he flicked his wrist at the creature.
"Henry, fetch him" the man spoke with a booming but cackling voice. The creature, Henry I assume , raced to catch John in moments.
John resisted but soon had no fight left, as he had used the wrong escape tatic, by trying to overpower all at once. Henry pulled John over to behind the man, who now stood in front of me, a few feet away.
He smiled.
"Hello miss, I would ask for your name, and his," he gestures towards John, "but I already happen to know what it is my lady."
He spit the word lady out as if it was poison, and I cringed as I awaited his next words.
