Hanji's POV

Levi and I tried hard to stay in touch with each other. But... I eventually moved to Germany and studied abroad... unfortunately that left Levi behind. From all the things... he couldn't follow me to Germany. I studied for over 4 years, and going on for another 4 years. Already, I turned 27 by the end of it all. And Levi was almost forgotten.

"So... you've changed." At first, it was all unfamiliar. I never recognized the voice and thought it belonged to someone else, who was talking to another person. So, I just shrugged it off and continued to study through my books. "Four-eyes, at least look me in the eyes."

Frost grew over me as I heard that nickname. Only Levi called me that. No one else. "L-Levi...?" I say gently, looking up to see a small boy. His piercing gray eyes reminded me of that day when we first met. His raven hairstyle was completely different. A little undercut made him seem... badass. "Is that really you?"

His little smirk on his face made me accept that it was truly him. "Yeah, it's me, four-eyes. You changed a bit, haven't you?"

I chuckle softly, smiling towards him. "Changed? How so?"

"Smaller glasses, hair's messier, and you've grown taller."

"Well, my right eye's getting worse. At this point, it'll be useless to have any lens there."

"How bad is it?" He asks, sitting next to me and quickly ordering a black tea from the waitress. "Hanji..."

"Bad enough I'll go blind." He stayed silent when I admitted it. "It's fine, Levi... it's just my right eye. It's not like I'm blind completely. I still got my left eye."

He grunts and kisses me instantly on my lips. Ever since I left Levi behind, I was busy with schoolwork- pushing myself to the maximum... I've never had the time to find a lover. Well, there was Moblit... but things between us didn't seem to work out. "Hanji, it's not ever fine. You're not... complete. But, if you're still not taken, I'll always accept you for who you are."

"Is that it...?" I chuckle, seeing his warm black tea coming in. "You came here to get me back?"

"Unless you're dating someone else... you won't be my geeky girl."

"Well... I rather have my bad boy back." I chuckle softly, kissing him. "How about a deal? You get your geeky girl back and I get my bad boy back. Is that a deal?"

Levi chuckles softly, nodding his head. "Deal."

As consenting adults, I got pregnant with his kid. How his face lit up with so many emotions. In a way, he wanted a little girl, and I wanted a little boy. When I brought up a little boy as the child in me, he shook his head. Levi constantly joked about how dirty he would get if we had a boy. But then, he thought about me and a girl... joked about how she would inherit my genes.

In the end, we got a girl together... and together, we named her Iris. At first, I wanted to name her Raven, but Levi thought that a Raven would look different than what our child looked like. Then, he asked for my favorite flower- which was an iris.

Now, we just brought her home and Levi was acting very overprotective. Whenever she was playing on the ground with her toys, Levi would surround her with so many pillows and blankets. His careful eyes were always on her.

Even when she was asleep, he always watched the baby monitors for any movement in the room. "Levi... she'll be fine for the night..." I grumble to him when I caught him awake and staring away at the monitors. "Like those other nights."

"I can't- I won't."

"Well... do you want her to get out of the nursery and let her sleep here with us?"

He shook his head, not taking his eyes off of her. "No. She's gonna wake up and make a bigger hassle for the both of us. Let's just leave her there."

"And the other nights?"

"Maybe... I don't know..." Levi sighs and lays back into bed, kissing my forehead. "I'm too worried for her, aren't I?"

"A little bit... does that concern you?"

"It does if my wife thinks that it's wrong." He says, kisses my forehead again. His kisses went down on my nose and onto my lips. "I don't want anything to happen to any of my girls."

I chuckle, kissing him back. I sigh softly, smiling to his little confession. "Come to think of it, Levi Ackerman... she might be smart enough to avoid boys so you can calm down."

"And if she prefers girls over boys? I still gotta be careful for my little girl, Hanji Ackerman." He chuckles, poking my cheek with his fingers. "I gotta protect our daughter. No matter who she chooses, she will always be our daughter, and I will always take care of her."

"An overprotective father and a laid-back mother... how interesting."

"I hope she does inherit your smarts- so I can be weary of her. At least I can predict what she's gonna do because of your intelligence. Because of you... I can really predict the unpredictable."

I chuckle, pulling him down into the bed. "Unpredictable? I'm unpredictable? Take. That. Back."

Levi smiles, pushing himself up to kiss me on my lips. Somehow, it weakened me and I fell onto the bed next to him. Next thing I know, he was on top of me. "You are unpredictable. When I say we can go shopping for some things, you decide to go out and bought a whole closet of baby clothes without knowing the gender of the baby."

"Well... blue can be used for girls. Pink is generalized as a girl's color and blue as a boy's color. We can mix and match colors up, you know."

"Another unpredictable thing for you, Hanji. Anyways, you need sleep."

"Hah! Says you."

He growls gently, pushing me gently. "You know what? I'm gonna make you sleep!"

"No!" I squealed and laughed. "No! I'll sleep, I'll sleep." I giggled, putting my glasses to the side and laying down. Levi's strong hands wrapped around me and pulled me towards him. Groaning softly, I hear Levi's words before I passed out for the night.

"Let's make a deal... I'll sleep... if you sleep..."
