Yawning (Y/n) rose up from his spot on the floor and headed to the cafeteria to get breakfast. Quickly grabbing a few bites to eat before leaving and going to the locker bay.

Taking out his black cloak and dark green shirt (Y/n) tossed them on his shoulder and went to change.

"Ahhhh," (Y/n) yawned while walking out, both his arms over his head.

"Hey Ruby, Yang," (Y/n) called out as he passed them on his way back to his locker, putting his old clothes back in and grabbing his scythe.

"Hey (Y/n), you were gone by the time we woke up."

"Heh, yeah I tend to wake up early"

Smiling the trio walked out of the locker bay and headed towards the cliff. "What does your scythe turn into (Y/n)?" Ruby, the weapon maniac asked once she realized she forgot to ask him.

(Y/n) just shrugged, "Nothing? It's just a scythe, Ruby." Which totally doesn't have enchantments that relate to souls.

  "Oh."

After a minute of walking, they reached the cliff and simply waited until all of the other participants had arrived.

"Greeting and good morning everyone," Ozpin began, "Today is the day where you become either proceed on with your training or be asked to leave. The person you see once you land will be your partner for the rest of your time in Beacon. Please do your best not to die, we will not step in to help you."

Ending the message on a high note, Ozpin began to activate the launch pads. Sending the students flying into the forest.

Grinning with excitement, (Y/n) let out a laugh as he felt the wind rushing at him. The speed causing his eyes to tear up slightly.

After falling for a bit (Y/n) readied his maiden powers and created a burst of concentrated snow which slowed his landing. As the ground rushed up to meet him (Y/n) dived into the giant snow pile he created, effectively stopping his free fall.

"Ggrrah," A large creature hissed from behind where (Y/n) stood, its red eyes glaring menacingly into his back.

Quickly turning around (Y/n) saw the Grimm shove its paw towards his chest, only barely raising his arms in time to lessen the blow.

Woosh. The air was knocked out of (Y/n)'s lungs as he was flung into a tree, the hard oak doing nothing to cushion the hard hit.

Standing above him the Grimm raised its paw once more and prepared to swing down on (Y/n) again.

Hissing (Y/n)'s eyes began to glow gold before everything froze, the Grimm looking like a marble statue.

Rising to his feet (Y/n) took out his scythe and cut multiple large gashes into the Grimm, before ending it with a slash that decapitated the large Grimm.

Suddenly (Y/n)'s eyes stopped glowing gold and everything that just happened activated. The Grimm not making a noise as it was dead the second time resumed.

Ozpin nearly spat out his coffee at what he just saw, no one had the right to move that fast. What in the world just happened?

Beginning his journey towards the ruins (Y/n) began to groan as he felt his chest, there was definitely something broken.

After a few minutes of walking (Y/n) reached a clearing with some old-looking buildings inside, this was probably it.

An Ursa leaped out at (Y/n) which caused him to roll to the side and shoot an icicle into its side. "Geez, that hurt way more than I thought it would."
