"And why would I join you, Roman," (Y/n) said, his stare locked onto the two in front of him.
"According to our sources, you just got kicked out of Beacon. Not only that but due to an unfortunate accident you also don't have a place to live." Roman Torchwick stated, casually lighting a cigar.
(Y/n) sighed, "And who is the girl next to you? I didn't think you would be recruiting children into your gang."
"That is my partner Neo, she doesn't exactly talk much or at all."
"Alright and let's say I did join you, your boss doesn't really like me. Assuming the girl in that Bullhead is your boss."
"I'm sure that she'll come around in due time."
(Y/n) sighed again, "I don't exactly suppose I have a choice. Fine."
Roman smiled when he heard that before turning around and walking away, "Follow me, Neo will be behind you and we'll take you to our temporary headquarters."
"And after that?"
"In three days we'll take you on a dust shop raid and see if you truly are willing to work with us."
After a medium length walk, around 30 minutes, they reached an old apartment building and went inside.
"As you can see this is where we'll stay for the next few days or weeks."
"Fine by me." (Y/n) grunted while he looked around.
"Oh, Neo, be a doll and take his scroll."
Reaching into his back pocket and pulling out his scroll Neo held it in her hands and lightly dangled it around as if teasing him.
While he didn't show it, (Y/n) was afraid. He barely had time to react before she had already taken his scroll. If I get in a fight with her I could be screwed and have to use my time stop.
Putting his hand on (Y/n)'s shoulder Roman asked a question, "So, what is your Semblance? I've seen the after-effects of it but I don't know much else."
Thinking quickly (Y/n) came up with something, "It's short-range teleportation, the limitation besides its range is that I have to physically be able to go through the space I wish to teleport to."
Nodding Roman let out a hum, "So you wouldn't be able to teleport through, let's say, the bars in a jail cell?"
"Correct"
"I also noticed something else. You were limping a bit on the way here, do you need a doctor?" Roman asked, surprising (Y/n) that he even bothered to ask about his health.
"Y-yeah, I got injured during the initiation. Haven't had a chance to heal fully." (Y/n) said, his voice slightly shaky at the start.
"They didn't heal you right after at Beacon? What barbarians, I'm sorry (Y/n). I'll take you to the doctor in just a second." Roman stated, his voice getting a slight temper as he described Beacon.
"This way lad."
"T-thanks, I'm surprised you're acting like this. Why?" (Y/n) once again said, still confused by how Roman acted.
"I may be a criminal but that doesn't mean I'm not human. I'm more human than those at Beacon at least. Also, you're now apart of my team and I care about my teammates." Roman added.
"Thanks again."
"Don't sweat it. Just don't betray us."
"Here we are, the doctor," Roman said, pointing towards a door. "Tell him Roman sent you."
