Chapter 1: According To Plan

Jackson kept looking out the window to his carriage his hand on his cheek feeling like a cage bird now. "This is a big day for us Jackson, a very big day." Jack heard his mother say making him sigh, "I know mother." He answers. Today wasn't a big day to him though, today it felt like it was going to be the end of his life. "Jackson Frost, I know that tone, don't start with us young man." Jack hear his father says making him look at his family. His mother and father have been together for forty plus years, and his father was the owner of Frost Ice Company who was the biggest ice company in this part of the world. They were rich, famous and Jack... Well Jack was their only child, the only one who could take over the company and inheritance when the time came.

And now at the age of twenty one, it was his job to marry, to help two families became one. It wasn't even to help his family, it was to help another, the Arendelle Family. Jack didn't know much of that family, only heard rumors, that their oldest child went insane and ran away from home, to even return and to leave their youngest to take over, to keep their family a float. "It really is a nice day for a wedding." Jack heard his mother say making him roll his eyes, "Maybe for you." He answers making her glare at him. "Jackson did you think I wanted to marry an ice man?" She ask making him shrug, "You did didn't you?" He ask. "Only because it was my duty as the oldest in my family to marry, to help my family." She answers looking at her husband.

Jack's father was a normal looking man with salt and pepper hair and light blue eyes. He wasn't bad looking, honestly Jack thought his mother could of done worse. And his mother, his mother was not a mean nor kind person. She was just doing what was best as she look herself in her small mirror making sure her light blonde hair that use to be dark in her hay day was perfect. "Anna Arendelle is a catch son, you could of done much worse." Jack's father says. "Now you just need to reel her in." His mother added. "I'm already reeled in mother... shouldn't this Anna Arendelle marry a lord or something?" He ask seeing that they were getting closer.

"A lord!? Heavens no, not with their family history." His mother said. Jack turned his head, right their family history, like his was any better. He just wanted this day to be over...

Anna held her breath as she felt her maid tighten her corset tighter. "I don't think my soon to be husband will like a wife to be dead." Anna says making her maid laugh, "Every man likes a woman who is skinny my dear." She says making Anna sigh, "Not every man..." She says as she hears a knock at the door to see her mother and father walking in. They haven't been the same since her sister ran away, it's been almost two years and yet... they were heartbroken. And it didn't make it any easier that they were broke and having to marry off their other daughter. "They'll be here soon Anna." Anna's mother says as she tighten her hands together.

She looked tired to Anna, her once dark green eyes were light now and her red hair was showing off more gray. "Mother... Do you think this is a good idea? I mean... I just turned eighteen last week..." Anna ask as her maid helped her put on her dress. "Of course it is! The Frost family is a wonderful family to marry into. Plus they will help us out since..." Her father started before he cleared his throat, "We lost everything." He adds making Anna look down at her hands. "Beside I got married to your father at eighteen and look at us now." Her mother says making Anna raise an eyebrow. "Right but... Shouldn't I marry someone I... Love?" She ask making her parents start to laugh a little, "Love? You'll learn to love this Jackson Frost Anna. You'll see." Anna's father said taking his wife's hand and start to walk out. "Now finish getting ready, we'll meet you in the parlor." Her mother says as the door closes behind them.

Anna sighs as she looks at herself in the mirror, sadness in her eyes. "Why do I have to fix her mistakes?" Anna asked her maid making her sigh, "I don't know young Miss, but you do." She says patting her on the shoulder, "I'll leave you alone to think." She says as she nods her head and walks out of the room leaving Anna alone with her thoughts. Anna looked closer at herself in the mirror, she wasn't bad looking, not as beautiful as her sister but she was still pretty. She had strawberry blonde hair with freckles around her nose and deep green eyes.
