"where do you really wanna go?"
"paris?" i answered with a question at the end of my tone "and why do you wanna go to paris?" my bestfriend asked for a follow up question but then i just started rubbing my nape while my eyes are set up to the street lights
"i think paris is very beautiful, it really is a peaceful place, i think that's one of the safest place i could be" i smiled at her and gave her a heartwarming stare
as a man who grew up on a local town, it has always been my dream to go out of the country, and she who has been my bestfriend for a long long time now witnessed how i struggle just to make sure someday that dream will come true
"but if time will come, who would you wanna be with when you go there" she asked my eyes are set upon her, "you"
"if i could have been given a chance then, you since you know me the most" she gave a giggle a poke my cheek "silly! if i'm coming gael is coming too you know that" i just gave a shrug and awkwardly laughed without her knowing,
i worked hard just to make sure i can earn a lot, i can save so that someday i can go there

"as a?" i waited for her answer on the other line "as my bestfriend" it was an interval of 5 seconds before realization hit me again "i love you too, as my bestfriend, goodnight, i have to go to work now" she gave me a sweet giggle before disconnecting from the other line,
it has been 3 years since we both made that promise that we'll be in paris together, and now
"30 minutes before flight TT22M" the airport announcement has been made and i have this kind of smile from ear to ear that for another time around, i was able to see you
i boarded the plane and waited for about 2 hours till we had a stop to paris airport "ty!" you shouted as came running, giving me a welcome hug, my heart pounded so quick but i made sure it was still quiet "mom is waiting for you at the venue, just make sure to rest first since our big day will be after 3 days" sh giggled, we went to the venue and made sure everything was perfect for the upcoming wedding
"did you make sure you're gonna wear the most beautiful wedding dress in the world hmm?" i left a handful of hair behind her ear as i stare at those precious eyes "of course i did, i want you to see me wearing that too"
"very good then" i gave her a quick peck on the forehead
it was the most awaited day, i heared the church door open with you at the other end of the aisle my heart started thumping at it's most illegal pace as i stare at your beauty, you really look so stunning. you slowly walk towards us who is waiting and i can see your eyes at me as you gavw the sweetest smile i have never seen in my life before, it makes me wanna cry
"remember the promise that we made? i told you i'll make sure that's gonna come true" i murmured
"i made sure i will come and be with you to paris, one of the our safest place and when i do" my heart started drowning in pain, my lips trembling, i was standing still at the edge of your altar, waiting for you to come pass me by
"i will witness how happy you are with someone else"
