When we finally landed I was rushed into surgery. They had to Anesthesia in me so fast I couldn't even form them a proper sentence and before I knew it I was asleep.

6 hours later

I woke up to yelling inside of my room but I didn't open my eyes. I listened.

"Fury, she's just a little girl. She's just like Natasha was." Someone said trying to defend me.

"She's dangerous Barnes."

So it was James.

"We can't have her running around doing whatever she wants. She is going to be watched down in holding for 3 days and we'll question her periodically. My decision is final. When she wakes up I want to be the first person to hear about it."

There was a long pause. "Yes sir." Bucky muttered and came back into my room and sat down in the chair I was guessing was close to my bed.

"You don't have to defend me, if he wants to lock me up let him." I said opening my eyes bringing my hand to my head where I felt a slight sting.

"Don't touch that." Someone said from my left. I turned my head and saw Natasha.

"I'm sorry for fighting you ." I said feeling ashamed and embarrassed for what I did.

"It's alright, you were scared." She said getting up out of her chair. "Want to try and drink some water?"

"Sure."

She gave me a small Dixie cup of water and I brought it to my lips and drank it slowly. It took me a minute to finish it and I slowly leaned against the back board. I lifted my shirt up and looked at the bandages.

"Where'd the bullet hit?" I said gently pressing my hand against the bandage.

"It went through muscle and tissue but missed anything major, you're lucky." Natasha said.

"I'm anything but lucky." I said and put my shirt back down. "Can I have a change of clothes?" I asked Natasha. She nodded and walked away to go get me something to wear.

I was playing with a string on my sweater and trying to avoid conversation with everybody for some reason I just couldn't bring myself to talk to any of them about anything. Even Bucky who I'd grown to trust. Natasha came back in with some clothes. I smiled at her and nodded my head and gently and slowly got out of the hospital bed and went over to the bathroom.

I changed my clothes slower than usual and sat on the toilet to tie my shoes. I combed out my hair with my fingers and splashed cold water on my face and when I opened the bathroom door I saw a bunch of other people in there that weren't in there before.

I saw Tony, Bruce and Steve along with someone I assume was director Nick Fury. I set the clothes on the edge of the bed and stared at everyone. It was uncomfortable for about 10 minutes before Fury spoke up. "You're going to have to come with me."

"No." I said before he could say anything else.

"I'm sorry but you've got no choice." He said grabbing my hand.

"Let go of me." I said trying to pull it away.

"Wait wait stop Fury let me talk to her." Bucky said grabbing my hand. Fury gave him a look at I tore my hand away from Nick's grip.

"Hey look at me." Bucky started. "Just go with him and answer his questions. We are just trying to help you. Okay? We just need a sliver of trust." He said slightly nodding.

I stared at him and played with the hem of my shirt. "Fine." I said quietly. I was led to an elevator which I rode in with Nick, Tony, Bucky, Bruce and Natasha.

I was taken into an interrogation room that looked like a big brick box. There was a mirror which I new was a one way window. I just put my head down on the table and bounced my leg.

I heard the door click and open and the steady sound of my foot tapping the floor stopped abruptly. I lifted my head up and saw Nick with a woman with Red hair.

"This is Wanda, you may want to be frightened of her." Nick said. I just started blankly into his eyes with no emotion. "Now you're going to answer my questions."

I flicked my gaze down to my hands that were cuffed together in my lap.

"What was your last mission?"

I didn't say anything.

"What was the last thing you remember from when you were kidnapped?"

Still nothing.

"Were you going to kill one of the Avengers?"

Still nothing.

"I don't want to have to find these things by force Maggie." Fury warned.

I didn't even look at him. If he wanted anything he was going to have to work for it. Wanda looked down at me and sat down in the seat just across from me.

She stared at me. I could feel her looking for stuff in my head but the only thing she was going to find is regret, sadness and anger.

She stared at me and I stared at her looking her dead in the eyes. "You're not going to find anything that you're going to find useful." I said closing my eyes. "I'm not scared of what I've seen." I said opening my eyes again looking at her face. "So stop."

Her eyes turned from the red color to their normal brown. She got up and looked at fury they walked back out of the room and I was left alone in the silence... again, just like old times.
