Jack rubs his head. He looks around, and groans. He attempts to stand up, but can't. He's tied to the floor. Two people walk in, and from what Jack sees they're male and female. "Why didn't you raid the bunker while you could? You had a chance." The female says, dropping his vest and bag. "Because, it's not worth my life and the lives of others for one can of food." Jack says, looking at his bag. "You won't get this back for a while." The male says. "Bad luck to you too." Jack grinned, and looked to his left. "Your a threat to--"
"No I'm not. I haven't hurt you. Why is there any reason to kidnap random survivors? For your own needs? A murder, maybe?" Jack grins again, but this time, the female brings a gun to his head. "Jack, I'm not a retard." That makes Jack think. She knows his name. "How do you..?" And then it hits him.
THREE YEARS AGO
Jack slips. "Jack!" The familiar female voice hits him, and she runs over. "Selena! No, don't try to help me! Protect Edgar!" Jack screams, grip fading on the edge of the building. Selena grabs him, and attempts to pull him up. The walkers are crowded at the bottom of the townhouse, waiting for Jack to fall, as Edgar fights off the runners. Jack manages to get up, at the cost of leaving Edgar behind.
PRESENT DAY
"Selena. Edgar." Smiles. "So you know. Took you long enough." She unties him. "I understood your sacrifice, Jack. But it left me without knowledge of why you left. Selena told me everything." Jack stands up, rubbing head again, nodding to Edgar. "Pass me my stuff." Jack catches his vest and bag, putting them on without hesitation. They smiled as Jack looked to the machete hanging from his bag, and looked back to Selena and Edgar. He brings them in for a hug, and smiles.
Everything was going to be okay.
