Chapter 9

There was this guy in christian union that also shared units with Angel.For some reason they always met almost everywhere either in classes or for christian union and ofcourse since they were sharing many things they could not avoid being friends since at times they would go for christian union together they had even started a discussion together because that is how the lecturer planned the discussion groups.

One dayAngel sat and began to Look at how now her life style was becoming boring.Her world involved her being in class or christian union or somewhere texting Rob. No social media,No male friends,she had friends but whenever they planned any girl outings she had to stay away she was trying her best not to break any rule,whenever her friends were having their alcohol she had to act like she was not feeling well to avoid a situation of her being drunk.

Rob on the other hand was also becoming more demanding since he loved attention.

There were times Rob went to sleep without food in his stomach, so as to be able to get airtime for both him and Angel .They were both so broke at times Angel had to get into her pockets to send him money to buy food.

Even their communication was only on texts, and once in a while Angel or Rob called.Angel looked at her friends been called by their boyfriends and wished that her boyfriend was able to afford calling her everyday.

Since Rob was demanding they argued most of the times and Angel had no one to open up to.Rob also developed a habit of piling arguments

Rob:tulisemaje kuhusu friends of the opposite sex?

Angel:swty huyo boy unaambiwa ata nlikua nimetoka tu class nayeye na mi nikaenda hostel swty sasa umejam?

Rob:ngoja siku tutameet ndo tutaongea hii story

And the somber mood would continue until they met. Mark you,at times they would even go for like eight months or even a year without them meeting.

So that evening angel got carried away while watching a soap that started from six and ended at seven and forgot to text Rob...

Angel:swty wajua sometimes mtu huitaji break

Rob:so you need a break from me?

Angel: you getting it all wrong ,i don't need a break from you, like i need pia to watch

Rob:huezi multitask? kwani si mi hukutext nikisoma?

Arguments had become part of their routine

So angel one day angel decided to open up to one of her friends and she told her what she was going through with her boyfriend.Her name was Jane

Jane:Mi mwanaume haezi nikula kichwa, you didn't date me to put me in your prison.Mama you are in a prison, and you need to be happy

Angel:sasa what should i do?

Jane:wachana naye if someone is stealing your happiness sasa si chaguo ni obvious.Kama saa zote unalia lia apa.Wachana naye!

Angel: Its not that easy you know

Jane:Its very easy ni ju bado hujadecide

Angel:ata sijui nifanye nini

Jane: we shinda apo, mi nimeitwa date ya icecream.Jiweke apo kwa kona ulie kabisaa

Angel:haya we nenda take care
Jane:you take care si sayote ni kulia mpaka unaanza kukua dehydrated

Angel sat on her bed thinking to herself 'mine can't afford icecream'

Things were getting worse she decided to join facebook atleast to help her forget somethings .After like two weeks

Rob's friend: buda vipi bana?
Rob:poa niambie
Rob's friend: nimeona mrembo wako facebook
Rob:sawa uko poa lakini
Rob's friend: eeh niko poa

Rob did not waste anytime he decided to text angel immediately

Rob:uliingia lini facebook?
Angel:am sorry swty two weeks ago ata wiki mbili hazijaisha

Rob: mbona na tulisema hakuna cha facebook?

Angel: sorry swty wajua sikuizi tunaargue sana nlikua natafta mahali naeza pata amani

Rob: amani yako iko facebook?

Angel: swty nitadeactivate account

Rob:apana, acha usideactivate ntakuja kuideactivate iyo account mwenyewe
So Rob and Angel decided to meet , they met at Rob's cousin's place for a whole week

Angel:apana swty
Rob: na hawa facebook mlikua mumeanza kujuana

They talked and eventually made up ,made love,went to the beach together,washed utensils and clothes together,cooked together,showered together like they never ever argued.they walked around in the evenings and were talking about their dreams together.

Rob :we usijali swty si hatutakua maskini forever.Saai tuko almost three years by the time tunafika ten years tutakua mbali swty

Angel:Amen swty.

Rob: swty sitaki kukuona facebook tena sawa? Social media tutakua ni whatsapp peke yake

Angel:Sawa swty

Rob:na mtu akiingia online anatext mwenzake ndo akiingia apate mwenzake amemtext sawa swty

Angel:Sawa swty

Rob:I love you swty nikijapata pesa tutaenda southcoast tukajienjoy swty.Swty we unataka honeymoon yetu ikue wapi?

Angel:mmmh Ecuador

Rob:ah ah swty mi nataka nikupeleke Hawaii swty

Angel:swty sawa basi tutajua ikifika huo wakati acha tukanunue tomato tuje tupike si unaona giza inaingia

Rob:si upike ile samaki ya juzi?
Angel:ile ya limau?
Rob:eeh
Angel:haai sawa basi acha tukanunue viungo

Days went so fast and their little holiday was almost over

Rob: njoo swty usilie, njoo mi naskia niache shule, ni vile sasa nikiacha ntakua nakulisha nini na sina pesa swty

Angel: swty ntakumiss huezi transfer uje huku karibu?

Rob:siwezi hakuna branch ya shule yangu huku.
Angel: sawa basi

The day finally came and angel had to escort Rob to the bus station but they could not stop crying when they held each other......
