Lost and Found (a Pennywise x reader story)

The Sewers

The sun lays in the horizon, the birds going silent and the bugs only going louder.
I swat away mosquitos, my eyes still on the same red balloon.

Then, it stopped.
I stop with it, raising a brow.
I look around, searching for what it stopped for.
I notice a small creak of water run though the woods, leading to a large sewer hole.

Was that what this balloon was leading me to? The sewers?

"You want me to go in there?" I ask the balloon. It floats silently. "That's disgusting, I'm not going in there."

Then I remembered my nightmares.
I stare at the water, the dirty residues in it. I could imagine bars in the sewer hole.
The ones that wouldn't let me out.
Screaming for help, saying he'd kill me, then when he'd grab my ankle and-

"That's where he is" I mutter.

I frown, still not wanting to go in.
But I don't want to wait and see what he would do if I didn't.
I decide to take off my shoes, not wanting to walk with soaked socks and sneakers. I roll up my pants (or you didn't, maybe you're wearing a skirt idk), then putting my shoes in my backpack.
My toes sink in the dirt a bit, getting used to the feel.

I breath in, then walking into the sewer hole.
The dirty water felt freezing, almost immediately making me shiver.

As I slushed through the water, the sewers became darker, the smell of the trash in the water increasing. I bring my shirt up to my nose, trying to cover the smells.

After what seemed like a while, I finally see light. I walk towards it, the water in the  sewers now lowering.
I walk into where all the sewers must have led, gravel covering the entire area as water travelled around it. A small pile of random objects lays in the middle, a barred hole in the top of it all letting light through the place. (I forget how the sewer looked exactly, it's been a whole while since I've watched both movies.)

I walk onto the gravel, my bare feet stepping on some hard or pointy ones that made me wince. I shake my feet to dry them off, then sliding my socks and shoes back on.
After that, I continue walking, looking at the pile of things. They all seemed useless, but familiar. I had definitely seen this pile before in my nightmares.
I drop my backpack against the things, walking around it to see more.

But just before I could walk through the full circle, I hear a clapping.

I turn, seeing Pennywise's shadow in one of the sewers.

"Oh good, good, good!" He extolled, walking out of the shadows to reveal his baby blue eyes "you're here."
