I can't believe I'm doing this! Katie thought whilst smiling at her reflection in the mirror. She is wearing maroon tight high waisted short shorts ripped down the front, with a white chiffon sleavless button up top that has a collar, paired with black high topped converses. Ready for the occasion Katie leaves her bedroom grabbing her brown leather sholder bag on her way out.

''Um where do you think your going missy?'' oh crap. Katie thought at the sound of her mums voice.

''Just down to the pool tables mum.'' She replied hastliy.

''Who are you going with?''

''Umm just this guy...''

''What's his name?''

''Josh.....'' Katie said looking down at her feet.

'' Oh yeah? how old is this boy Josh? and what time will you be home?''

''hes 17 and I'll be home before 11 i promise.''

''I don't know Katie, 17? your only just 16....''

''Mum its fine, he's a nice guy. I swear, and we are just friends.''

''Okay sweetie i suppose you can go but be home at 10:30. My house my rules.''

''Haha anything you say mum.'' Katie chuckled whilst kissing her on the cheak ''I love you.''

''I love you to, bye hun.''

I wonder what's going to happen.... No Katie! don't think like that, I doubt he would ever be interested in me... I mean come on im no where near as pretty as that girl Amber he hangs out with... why would he ever want me? friends is better than nothing.... lets just see where this goes...

Katie thought the entire bus ride to the pool tables. When she got there her phone buzzed in her bag.

*I'm running late, soz had to stop for gas on the way. I'll be there in 5 min xx* Josh of corse.

*It's fine, see you soon. xx*

Oh great what am i supposed to do now? Katie thought whilst walking along the path way in the car park to the pool tables.

''Katie!!!!!!!!!!'' a strange but familiar voice yelled.

''Rosie!!'' of corse who else would it be? feeling slightly shocked at seeing this long lost friend here under the circumstances,

''Sweetie what are you doing here all by yourself?'' Rosie asked.

''Actually I'm waiting for someone they are supposed to be here any minute.'' Katie replied with a slightly bashful smile.

''Good, I can wait with you. I hear my friend is going to be here tonight, just hoping to run into him.'' She said flashing Katie a smile. ''In fact there he is!'' Rosie exclaimed pointing towards a car parking near them. Wait that car looks oddly familiar.... Isn't that... no it can't be....

''Rosie who did you say you were meeting again?'' Katie asked a slightly confused Rosie.

''His name's Josh, why?''

''Well he just so happens to be the guy I'm meeting.''

''Hey Rosie!!!'' Josh yelled when he got out of his car walking over.

''Hey Katie.'' He said to Katie when pulling her in for a hug.

''Wait do you two know eachother?'' Josh asked in a confused manor.

''Umm yeh we met a while ago didn't we Katie?'' Rosie said beaming at Katie, making her smile back.

''Yeh we did. I didn't know you guys knew eachother?'' replied Katie.

Josh looked between the two girls, wow, coincidence much? huh small world. ''This monster is only my best friend.'' Josh exclaimed whilst playfully ruffling Rosie's hair.

''Stop it you!'' Rosie glared at Josh like a younger sister would. Josh looked just as adoringly at Rosie and laughed.

''Okay Rosie as much fun as this is, we have a game to play inside.'' Josh told Rosie with a hint of a grin on his face whilst taking a side glance at Katie making her blush.

''Hahaha okay Katie kick his ass for me. He needs taking down a peg or two. I'm going to find my friend, but I'll be back later.'' Rosie hugged both Katie and Josh, then turned away with a small wave over her sholder.

''So... you and Rosie?'' Katie asked blushing at her curiosity about their relationship.

''Just an old friend. We look out for each other. She's kinda like my younger sister, ya know?''

''Yeh me and my friend Kyle are like that.'' Katie said beaming.

''Wait... Kyle Adams?'' Josh looked quizzically at Katie.

''Yeh, you know him as well???''

''Wow even smaller world, he started hanging out with Rosie not long ago.''

''Figures that those to would get along, as bad as each other.'' Katie said whilst thinking of all the mischef he had gotten up to in the last few months. Getting drunk at parties, hooking up with girls. That boy had put Katie through more grief than what meets the eye.

''haha yeah. so, you ready?'' Josh questioned Katie.

''Game on.'' Katie replied grinning up at Josh, looking into his pale blue eyes.
