~Episode five: Ghost of the Mountain~

(After the events of Marsh of Mystery; and just before Ghost of the Mountain begins)

"Uh, is it just me or is it starting to get cold again?" Ono wondered, as he felt the wind suddenly changed directions. Anga circled up and peeled her vision to see.

"It isn't just you.." She said. "Look." They came up over the ridge and peered down into a valley of white.

"Ugh, seriously? More snow?" Fuli groaned.

"Well, at least it isn't water or mud." Ono reminded her simply.

"Eh, true." The cheetah had to admit, as they slowly headed on down the path; which soon faded into the snow.

"Hoo-Hoo-Ha! Yeah!" Bunga cheered, excitedly trudging through the snow. "Let's go, guys! Hey! Maybe we can have some fun? Liiike now!" The honey badger hurled a snowball at Fuli from behind, who ducked in time to avoid it. And the snowall sailed over her and hit the back of Kion's shoulder freezing him where he was. Everyone froze instantly in shock, fearing how he was gonna react.

Kion turned and glared at him, as though about to attack him. Bunga shrunk back a little and prepared to escape, and Fuli prepared to intervene. Kion's expression soon changed to a mischievous grin, as he shot a pawful of snow up at them. And when they began to cough and splutter, he jumped through the cloud of snow to land dramatically over Bunga.

"Ha! Gotcha." Kion smiled triumphantly, standing over the honey badger proudly. Stepping back off of him, he dashed away from the group. Everyone heaved a sigh of relief, and began to laugh as they made chase.

(After Bunga's fancy trick to get up the ledge)

"Ha! Got em!" The honey badger cheered triumphantly holding the tuliza up over his head.

"Yeah just don't-.."

"Wao..oooh!!" The cheetah's warning was merely seconds late, as Bunga slipped away from view.

"Fall." She finished her statement in disgust. "Ugh, seriously?!"

"Bunga? You ok?" Kion called out. No answer.

"Come on." Anga sighed, soaring on over past them. "Let's go find him again." And Kion and the Guard took off after her.

"He can't have gotten too far.. right?" Kion asked, glancing at Fuli, as they ran amongst the bamboo.

"Knowing Bunga.. who knows." The cheetah responded dryly.

"He's here!" Anga called.

"Bunga! Are you ok?!-.. What in the Pridelands?!" Kion gasped at the strange sight his amber eyes beheld.

"We're definitely not in the Pridelands anymore." Fuli decided quite definitively.

(during song)

A creature that can't be seen? Attacking without being threatened? What could it want? The young Lion Guard leader's gears turned with every piece of information given to him.

How can something that doesn't exist attack these red pandas?... Unless... maybe it's not what they think it is?...

"So be aware and prepare for the ghoooost, Ghost of the Mountain!.." rang the last lyric.

There's gotta be something more to this than meets the eye. Kion decided in the moment.
