I didn't want to do it, so I didn't do it.
"You can pick yourself or us."
This were the choices I got? How could she make me choose between myself and my own friendship? I just can't do that. Now everyone hates me.
Because I was framed by someone I trusted.
Yesterday, after school:
The school was empty. There were just two people in the whole building.
"Are you going to do it or not?" Flora demanded, putting her hands on her hips.
"Look, I can't steal the netball trophy. I don't steal, Flora." I answered.
Flora is one of my close friends along side Stephanie. She has long blonde hair, freckles, blue eyes. She is tall with a model like figure.
She was stunning.
I was dull and boring. I looked like a child compared to Flora.
However, Flora's personality wasn't that great.
So why am I friends with her?
She was the only person who first came over to me and started to make a conversation with me. From then on, we were close but there was something about her that made me want to stop being best friends with her.
She was controlling, she was rude to everyone that talked to her and she only became friends with me to impress the teachers just to make her look like she is kind and down to earth.
But I swear down, she isn't.
Flora smirked. "Harlow, you know if you want to actually become one of my real best friend, you have to jump out of your comfort zone. You're such a goody too shoes whereas I'm not. We have to be alike." She looked at me, waiting for an answer. Her eyes were piercing. It felt like she was shooting lasers at me. She looked at me with so much hate and jealousy.
But I wasn't having that.
I walked up to her. "Flora, I'm not doing it whether you like it or not. I don't steal and what's wrong with being a goody too shoes. If this is to clarify our friendship over a trophy, then there is something wrong with you. If you are such a rebel, why cant you do it then?" I crossed my arm and looked at her in a questionable way.
She looked taken aback. Then, she laughed. "Well, then follow me." She walked off, gesturing a hand to follow me. Her arms swinging by her sides and the noises of her heels grew fainter as she walked a bit quicker.
I stopped walking for a minute, feeling confused. I'll have to follow her in case she steals the trophy.
We made our way to the head-teachers office and towards a big shelf. The netball trophy was stood right above me.
"So, are you going to steal it now?"
I bit my lips in anger. I just can't. Why is she doing this to me?
"No." I spoke quietly.
"Well, then have fun by yourself. You've made your choice."
"Wait, don't go." But she was already half way through the corridor.
I sighed to myself. What am I supposed to do?
I touched the trophy thinking of a solution.
My heart was beating fast and I was sweating loads.
I was apprehensive, I can't lie about that.
Should I or not? Friends or no friends?
Why am I so indecisive?
How I wish Stephanie was here. She will know what to choose straight away.
This was a hard decision to make.
