The night before I ran away:
"I don't know why. Everyone thinks it's me when it isn't." I started to cry, annoyed with everything that was happening in my life.
"I don't know, Harlow. Did you steal it?" My mum spoke, questioning me.
I looked at her, confused.
"Of course I didn't, Mum. Why would I be making this up?"
"No, honey, that's not what I mean. I just wanted to understand the situation more. Obviously, it wasn't you."
She held me into a hug and I felt safe in her arms. I don't want to stress my parents out for my "faults".
Deep down, I knew they would get tired of everything. They would want everything to end.
They would get tired of me.
Back to reality.
The bus pulled up to my stop and I walked out, still feeling a bit uneasy.
I had a migraine that caused my whole body to ache with fatigue.
I walked through the roads and pass rows of houses, clutching my head. It felt like I was walking for hours.
I didn't know where I was going.
I had my hood on, my back bag secured around me.
I was taking irregular steps. I was tired and I was frightened as well.
I have never ran away at this time of night in my life.
I had nowhere to stay and there wasn't any food available.
Me being an idiot, I only brought enough money for the bus ride here.
There was a hill opposite my direction and I decided to walk up there and sit down until my legs regain strength.
The wind started howling and the cold was hitting my face.
I started to shudder.
The wind was howling so bad that the noise got louder and the rubbish was scattered around me.
I decided to get up and continue to walk a different way so I wasn't walking in the same direction as the wind.
That was when I made the wrong move.
I was walking in the same direction as a tornado.
A tornado was heading my way. It didn't register in my brain until I saw it much clearly.
The tornado looked like it came out of nowhere.
"It was heading towards me. It's heading towards me." I was frozen in shock and I didn't know what to do.
Maybe, god heard that I wasn't enjoying myself and wanted me to end my suffering in a whole.
The speed the tornado came was rapid. The trees were moving viciously and more litter flew around me.
But I didn't want to die. I'm too young.
I turned around and started to run for my life but it was too late.
The tornado picked me up, causing me to scream in pain as the pressure was killing me.
I was bouncing around, side to side by the force. Bits of litter were everywhere.
I witnessed my whole life through my eyes. From when I was born to now. My family, my friends, the incident in school.
I couldn't die right now.
Everyone will think I am a thief.
My brain was still processing everything.
I closed my eyes and prayed more.
That my suffering would end.
Everything around me, suddenly, slowed down.
But it felt like I was falling down.
THUMP.
My whole body collided to the ground.
I was at peace now.
