I made my way home feeling all frustrated and tired.

If you're wondering if I stole the trophy, I didn't. I just couldn't bring myself to it.

I went with my intuition. Stealing is wrong and that's not what I do.

Flora wasn't being genuine with me, half of the time.

Stephanie has always been there for me. When I was upset, when I was down, when I was ill and when I needed someone to talk to, she was there. Flora has never cheered me up. I had a sense that she hated me for some weird reasons which I do not know.

I lay in bed, going through what had happened after school with Flora.  I didn't do it, so would she hate me for the decision I made?

My thoughts were paused when my mum yelled my name to come downstairs to eat.

Great. Now I need to act like I'm fine when deep down I'm not fine.

I sluggishly made my way downstairs, towards the dining room and sat down to eat.

My mood rose slightly, examining the food and dived in with excitement.

I was too worked up on the trophy that I forgot to even eat.

I looked at my little brother with a disgusted expression plastered on my face. He created a mess around himself, including his face.

"Oh no, Johnny. Don't eat your food too quickly. You'll throw up." My mum exclaimed, wiping the mess off his face.

"I have to mum, I'll miss the football game." I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah, well that can wait son." My dad finally spoke, placing his newspaper on the table.

"So, Lydia. How was school?"

I looked up and shrugged. "It was okay, Dad."

"Okay? I'm sure it was tiring but you're lucky you attend a magnificent school. Okay isn't the right answer." My dad loved education. He was all about top grades, top colleges and top universities.

"It isn't the classes, it's the people. They are all so loud and annoying." I chewed my food forcefully.

"Is there something wrong, Lydia?" My Mum spoke with a hint of worry.

"You can tell us anything, we are your parents after all."

I told them. I couldn't keep this away from my parents. If I did, then I would get all stressed and who knows what will happen after that.

"So, it's that Flora girl. She's been manipulating you and making you steal the trophy, just so you can be friend's with her?"

"Yes. But I didn't steal it though, you got to believe me. I couldn't steal it."

"We believe you, darling, we do."

"You should knock her out, Lydia." Johnny shouted in enthusiasm, making me smile widely.

Mum slapped him softly on the back. "Don't say such words."

Dad sighed. "We have to ring the school."

"What? No, It's fine. She hasn't done anything yet. It's going to make me look like a snitch and everyone will hate me for it. They might cancel Netball as well."

I begged my Dad not to and he agreed.

"Well, one thing is. You cannot speak to her anymore. That's final."

I nodded. That comment made me anxious.

After the discussion was done, I had lost my appetite completely.

"I have homework to do."

I ran upstairs without looking back and heard my parents arguing downstairs, after I had closed the door slowly.

I threw myself onto my bed and screamed in anger. Why do I always have to open my mouth? I could've kept it to myself.

I face palmed my forehead in frustration.

Will things become much worse tomorrow in school?

I am not looking forward for tomorrow.
