"AAAUGH!"

Pholux held his elbow, falling down to the ground and writhing in pain. The sharp claws of the winner had pierced his thought-to-be impenetrable skin with almost no effort. The burns from this colossus' powers only adding to the agony.

"You should be grateful; if it weren't for your dedication to protecting these forbidden lands, I would've cut your head off as soon as you attacked."

Why did he even challenge him? There was reasons why the humans called him, "Grandis Supernus". Pholux got up and limped away as quickly as he could. Out of sight. A shadow cast over the remaining fourteen creatures, the sheer size of the beast enough to send anyone backing up in fear. Many did, except for Gaius, Malus' loyal knight. Gaius approached the massive creature cautiously, aware of his current sour mood. He signaled to The Sky Spear, watching her carefully nudge the others out of the current area. She missed some of the smaller ones.

"Be off, this is a personal matter."

They shakily nodded and trotted away, not looking behind them once. The air falling silent once again. Gaius sighed and nervously turned to face Malus. Although Pholux lost the fight by a mile, Malus wore a new scar on his collar bone from the ape's sharp talons. He cupped it gently, aware that too much pressure would cause the wound to worsen. It was a pretty large crack, but most of it would heal in a couple of days.

"Are you alright, your majesty?"

Malus grunted with a shrug, hissing in pain almost immediately after.

"Sssgh...I've certainly seen better days, eheheh..."

Gaius slowly made his way over, sitting next to this behemoth. Despite Malus being twice his size, weight, and much more stronger...He felt no fear. Malus watched as the knight roamed around, making sure no one was spying on them.

"...Why did he do that?"

"I presume the fool thought that he was worthy to lead," Malus huffed, massaging the wound. "He obviously isn't, but he proved himself a nuisance, so there's that."

"Pfft," Gaius snickered, "You got that right...Rest, my king. I will be in the lake if needed."

Malus perked up a bit, watching Gaius make his way down.

"Take care, knight."

The moon blinded his eyes once Gaius woke up, muttering a, "you too". He shifted his head to look around. Quadratus was rolled over like a dog, Valus was shifting, his head in his arms, and Phaedra was curled around in a ball. Aiko was on top of the horse, shuddering...But not because of the cold. It was rather hot, in fact...Gaius sat up, peering at Aiko, concern lacing his mind...

Aiko's black tribal markings then began to glow cyan.
