The still, quiet water surrounding the broken gazebos were a nice distraction for the pain. It wasn't nearly as bad as previous wounds she had received, but it wasn't exactly ignorable either. Using her hyper-sensitive tusks, Pelagia rubbed against her metal-coated arms to produce a ringing sound. It bounced off of objects, giving her a feel of her surroundings. She did miss vision, but that was thousands of years ago. Still, the name haunted her. She tried to protect the humans, Malus, everyone, but she wasn't nearly as strong as...him. The damned beast forced the Trico horn material into her forehead in an attempt to control her. But this ol' beast cannot be tamed. Minds forget, scars remember. So to prevent more wounds from being made, she reserved herself to permanent silence. Almost no one knows what her voice sounds like. Almost.

"Malus," She thought, sinking below the waters, "Please be okay."

Her brooding was interrupted by a sudden splash. Quickly, she faced upward and let out an echolocation call. It was...small. A human? No, not again...But wait, it's so small...And doesn't appear to have a weapon. But she could sense something wrong. Something within this child. Something that it didn't know. Her senses told her it could wait, though. A topic for later discussion with one of the few colossi she spoke to.

Aiko dove underwater, her markings beginning to glow softly as the excitement of chilly water tingled her senses. Not nearly as cold as Gaius' lake, but it took a second to get used to. This colossus was very odd looking...where were its eyes? She stopped swimming to take a breath, peering at Celosia and Avion. Avion was sipping the water while Celosia was playing in a puddle. It was an odd whiplash- the colossi could go from majestic and terrifying, demanding respect with each small movement and breath. Then they would turn around and do something goofy or clumsy.

Pelagia lifted her head slowly. Rising above the water, yet disturbing it very little. Avion and Celosia seemed to have respect for her, backing up and staring. Pelagia stood tall and proud, showing off her scales and metallic armor. Barnacles covered her skin, but she didn't seem to mind. Rather than fur, Pelagia had grass and moss growing on her head and down her back. Aiko couldn't tell what she was. Turtle? Bug? Bison? Whatever she was, she was beautiful. The colossus wandered around the area, her head facing Aiko at all times. Avion and Celosia didn't seem to speak to her, instead watching in respect and awe. If these two calmed down near Pelagia, then there was something truly remarkable about her. Looking closer, one would notice a particular amount of scars and marks upon her skin and armor. More so than Gaius. She was also slow, but carried her weight and strength with each confident step. A shiny blue pulsed through her tusks, completely filled with energy. She was clearly old, maybe even the oldest. Pelagia herself didn't seem too interested in Aiko, but she held no spiteful intentions toward her. And that's all that mattered.

Child.

A voice. No, voices. Male? Female? Wait, both!

Thou art a curious soul...Fearless.

Aiko perked up. She didn't like this. The whispers faded in her mind.

Do not be afraid, child. We have no ill will toward thou.

Avion noticed Aiko's look. She was still, listening to these strange voices.

These colossi are part of us. For many years they have served us well. They tried to free us. But nothing could be done. A wanderer came in, slaying these creatures. We attempted to revive them...but he came and stopped us before we succeeded.

Aiko felt her worry ease. This voice...seemed oddly familiar.

We promise to thou, if the colossi can free us, we will help thou in thy quest for safety.

Aiko thought to herself. "Okay. I'll see what they can do." She thought, hoping the entity would hear.

Thou art a determined soul. Keep on thy journey, and thou shall succeed. We, Dormin, will rise anew.

Dormin. Better keep that in mind.
