Time seemed to freeze as Jinhae stared back at Taehyung's orbs. By now, Taehyung was completely sober.

Instinctively, Jinhae took a step back, then another, then another. She clutched the small black box within her grasp, turning around and running away from the scene.

Taehyung felt a strong pang of guilt in his chest, making him scream out her name as she dashed away.

"Jinhae!!!"

Jinhae blenched at the intensity of Taehyung's voice, which made her run faster. Undescribable fear crept up her heart while she heard faster footsteps tailing behind her.

'Why am I acting like this?!'

'Why is he running after me?!'

A large hand firmly holds Jinhae's right wrist, forcing her to stop moving. Jinhae gasps and automatically retracts her wrist forcefully, making Taehyung let it go.

"Don't touch me."

The venom and loathing laced together with the girl's voice made Taehyung almost back down.

But he wanted to settle this now.

"Jinhae--"

"Just go back, damn it. What are you even doing here, leave me alone." Jinhae coldly demands, quickening her pace. But Taehyung still approached her figure and forcefully tugged on her wrist, making her face him once again.

"Let me go!" Jinhae tried to pry the male's hand off of her, but it didn't budge. "What the f(lower) do you want?!" Jinhae angrily yells as she glared daggers at the man.

"Let me explain!"

"Huh? Explain?" Jinhae scoffs before releasing a bitter chuckle, "you don't need to explain anything! I don't even know why I ended up interrupting your session with your assistant, but I'll admit, that was my mistake!"

Every word that came out of the female's mouth seemed normal, but the tone she used definitely told Taehyung that she was beyond furious.

"Don't bulls(hoot) me, Jinhae!"

Jinhae cringed at how angry Taehyung's voice sounded to her. The grip on her wrist was also tightening.

"I'm not f(lower)ing stupid, okay?! Did you really think I was dense enough not to know the real reason why you cried that day?!"

Jinhae's glare hardened at what Taehyung said.

"Don't you dare bring that up now." She says through gritted teeth, trying to control the tears now clouding her vision.

"You don't understand, do you? Aren't you sick and tired of the same s(hoot) we deal with every damn time we're together?!" Taehyung's eyebrows clashed together as he pulls the girl closer. "Don't you f(lower)ing lie to me, goddammit!"

Jinhae averts her gaze away from the male, desperately trying to get Taehyung's hand off of her wrist. Just a while ago, she convinced herself that she will fix everything that needs to be fixed with Taehyung, but after seeing that heartbreaking scene, Jinhae completely went back to absolutely despising the man with every fiber of her being.

Now everything was clear to her.

Jinhae did have special feelings for Taehyung, because why would she react this way if she didn't?

But there's no way in hell she'll give that away.

And now her emotions were building up within her, just waiting for the right moment to burst. A different kind of rage was slowly blinding her, and if anything, she'd kill whoever it was that's in front of her.

But she couldn't kill this man.

And that fueled her temper.

"Why are you running away from our problem? From me?" Taehyung questions gently, his facial expression clearly saying that everything spewing out of his mouth came from somewhere.

"Be...because..."

Jinhae slowly looked up, her orbs now glassy with tears. Taehyung felt another pang in his chest when he saw a drop of clear liquid slip down Jinhae's cheek.

"Because I can't take it anymore!"

Jinhae successfully pried Taehyung's hand off her wrist, but she didn't attempt to run. She stood there, glaring at Taehyung as tears started cascading down her face without any signs of stopping.

"Starting from the beginning, you've done nothing but torment my life, even when I didn't do nothing wrong to you!" Jinhae raises her voice.

"Then when things were slowly turning right, you come in and ruin it again! Every f(lower)ing time!"

Taehyung stepped forward, making Jinhae do the opposite.

"Make up your mind, Kim! Don't you hate me?! Wasn't that the reason why you decided to 'die' in the first place?!"

"That's not--"

"I disgust you, don't I? I'm weak to you, I'm pathetic, I'm everything you hated!"

Taehyung stayed silent as he watched the girl break down in front of him. Clenching his fists, he had to hold himself back from telling Jinhae everything.

"Why don't you just listen to me?!" Taehyung blurts out, his own eyes welling with his tears.

Jinhae scowls at the male, her figure shaking with rage.

"Oh yeah? Give me one good reason why should I."

Taehyung's face became dejected, his now calm gaze on Jinhae's eyes.

"... Aren't you happy I'm alive?"

How Taehyung's voice broke while saying his question made the girl quiet. Jinhae wasn't able to reply after that. Her expression weakened. That question definitely struck something within the girl.

"You..."

Jinhae forced a frown on her face.

"You being physically alive doesn't do anything, Mr. Kim."

Taehyung was done. Even the way she called him sounded so hateful. How was she doing that?

Just why was Jinhae being so hard-headed?!

"Well what do you want me to do, huh?!" He exclaims. A tear slides down from his eye. He couldn't understand; why was it so hard to break whatever Jinhae had that made her not want to fix everything with him? By this point, he was desperate.

"It doesn't matter!"

Jinhae responds in a straight tone.

"What died once shouldn't come back to life... you're long dead, Taehyung," she spat while throwing the blond male a harsh glare, "to me, at least."
