I sat on my bed patiently waiting for Hermione to finish getting ready, my feet swinging back and forth beneath me. "Hermione, Avalon?" A voice called. I looked up and saw a girl making her way towards us. "Good morning Lavender, how are you?" Hermione greeted kindly. "Good, good. I, um, I just wanted to ask you guys something," Lavender began, wringing her hands together.
"What is it?" I asked, standing up. "Well, do you guys really believe everything that Harry's saying?" She asked, eyes widening slightly. "Of course we do," I stated firmly. "But you guy's weren't even there with him. You simply can't know for sure if he's telling the truth," she countered.
"Lavender, with all due respect, you're daft. Harry is our friend and we believe him. Dumbledore believes him too, and if you can't trust the greatest wizard of our time, and our Headmaster, then you really aren't the sharpest tool in the toolbox. Are you?" Hermione snapped. My eyes went wide at her outburst and Lavender quickly turned red before scurrying away.
"You go girl," I laughed, smiling at Hermione. She waved her hand as if you say "oh that was nothing," before picking up her bag. "Let's go meet the boys," she said, waiting for me by the door. I picked up my bag and joined her at the door.

The Great Hall was filled with the sound of students talking and utensils hitting plates. Harry, Ron, Hermione and I sat at the Gryffindor table, and I busied myself with buttering my toast, as Hermione dug into porridge, Ron shoved sausages in his mouth, and Harry ate some eggs.
I couldn't help but feel self conscious, as people didn't hide the fact that they were staring at us, more specifically Harry. I could tell he was getting agitated too, as he continuously stabbed at his eggs, before putting them into his mouth.
"We were talking to Lavender this morning..." Hermione started. Harry and Ron looked up at her, waiting for her to continue. "It wasn't a particularly pleasant conversation," I said, scratching my head.
"Let me guess, she thinks I'm a loony too," Harry stated, rather than asked. Our silence only confirmed his theory. "Take no notice of it Harry. This is exactly what he wants. To make you feel cut off from everyone, alone," Hermione explained. "You still have us mate," Ron offered, giving his best friend a smile. "Thanks guys," Harry said, pushing his eggs around.
"Harry!" A voice called from a few metres away. We looked up and saw another Gryffindor, Angelina Johnson, making her way towards us. "Tryouts for the Gryffindor quidditch team are soon. I need you to be prepared," she stated. "Oh thanks Angelina. How many others are going for the seeker position?" Harry asked.
"Don't be silly Potter, you're still the seeker. We do however have room for a keeper and one chaser," she said, looking at him and with a smirk. Everyone knew that Harry was a gifted seeker. Angelina would be crazy to even think of giving his position away. "A new keeper you say?" Ron piped up, looking interested.
