                       Mia's POV

My nerves are elevated. My hands shake as I get closer to the coffee shop.

I don't know how I'm going to work while being so attracted to my boss. Working closely with him is going to be hard. Every time I'm near him, all I want to do is strip his clothing and fuck him.

This is odd for me to be so attracted to him. To want someone so badly. I feel bad having these thoughts when I'm engaged, but to be honest, I'm happy he didn't follow me here yet. I'm not sure why I said yes other than the fact to please my mother. She been waiting for this and planning my wedding since she found out she was having a girl.

I know I need to break things off with Jeff, but I never had a real reason to other than now.

"Oh, bloody hell, I'm so screwed."
The couple walking beside me turn to give odd looks. I blush in embarrassment. I had not meant to say that out loud.

When I walk into the cafe, I fall in love with the place. The inside has an old feel, with tan stone walls, small wooden tables scattered everywhere. The floor is a light grey and brown hardwood floor. Black and white pictures are all over the walls. I step taking a closer look — there are old articles of London's history. The sun shines through the big windows makes the place feel spacious and homely.

I'm so lost in wonder that I scream when someone taps on my shoulder. I turn around and blush at Ethan. Amusement is evident in his eyes.

"This place was build in the 1920s and hasn't been touch other than a few modern machines and the floor." Ethan states.

“Wow, it's beautiful, it reminds me of home," I say

Ethan and I step in line and to order and continue talking while we wait. He asks me about my home life. I swear I see a hint of disappointment cross his eyes when I tell him about my engagement, but he doesn’t appear as shocked as I expected. Why did I mention it so soon?

I order a coffee black and two sugars. Ethan orders his drink, and we sit at a small table by the window.

Once I finish approving the contract he gave me from the HR department and going over some detail, we continue to talk where we left off earlier. The conversation flows so easily between us that I find myself getting lost.

“So, do you have someone special, dating or wife? I mean," I question because I have been dying to know.

Ethan smirks as he knows. "No, I plan to have one soon, though.” He says mysteriously.

I try not to be sad at his words as I reply. "Oh, okay."

Ethan stands up, looking at me. “Would you like another coffee?" He asks. "Um, yeah, To go, please,” I say, smiling at him.

The morning is starting to slip away, and I have an appointment for an apartment. Its a one-bedroom apartment with a gorgeous rustic looking bathtub that I instantly fell in love with from the pictures online.

I'm so ready to get out of the hotel I'm staying in. The apartment is perfect and reminds me so much of home. The one thing I'm still getting used to is living in a big city.

"Here you go," Ethan says, handing me my coffee.

"Thanks so much for everything. You're a lifesaver, and I'm excited to start working with you on Wednesday. I have an apartment I have to look at, though, so I'm sorry for cutting this short." I give him a shy smile.

"I have worked anyways, and I am excited to work with you also. Until we meet again, my lady," Ethan says, bowing to me.

I laugh as joy fills me. "Until then," I say, giving courtesy. I giggle again, only stopping when I realize Ethan is giving me an intense stare like he wants to eat me. All forms of laughter leave me as fire starts in my belly. My eyes fall to his lips, and I want so badly to kiss him.

"Uh, I will see you Wednesday," I mumble, turning on my heels and all but running out of the coffee shop. There's a slight chill to the air, and I'm thankful I went casual today. I am wearing dark skinny jeans, a v-neck brown sweater, and brown flats. My hair left down, flowing around me from the breeze.

I pull my phone out and call my best friend, Emilia, needing to talk. After the fourth ring, she finally picks up. "Finally, you pick up your phone!" She laughs at me over the phone. "Don't be dramatic, what's up, babe?" She asks.

"You remember the guy I told you about I met at the bar and his sexy as hell brother asked me to have an interview on Monday, well I got the job, and we just had coffee." I stop taking a deep breath.

“That's awesome. I'm so happy for you!" She squeals over the phone.

"Yeah well I have a problem, well I....”

"Spit it out already!" She says, laughing.

"Yeah, well, my boss isn't just sexy. I may have the full-blown hots for him. I want him." Woo, there I said it.

"So, what's stopping you, then?" She questions, and I wonder if she fell and hit her head.

"Did you forget about Jeff, and also he's now my boss?" I say in a duh tone. I lift my wrist and look at my watch, seeing how much time I have as I arrive at the street I need to be on.

"We both know you don't love Jeff and should have broken it off with him a long time ago." She says in seriousness.

Her truth stings, and I wonder if she thinks I'm a terrible person for leading him on for so long.

"Also, who cares if he is your boss. Hello, office sex; I think hell to Jeff!" The image of us in his office comes bringing a burn in the pit of my stomach.

"Mh, that is tempting, but if we don't work, things would be weird. I need this job, and I have to have this job. No matter how much I want him, I just can't." I frown at this and take another sip of my coffee.

"Either way, we agree on one thing. Leaving Jeff? She asks. I look up at my new apartment and bite my lip.

"Yeah, I don't know how or when yet. It won't feel right to do it over the phone." I say, opening the door to the building. I take the stairs slowly to the 3rd floor. I look for entry 3C and knock on the door.

"Just make sure you tell him soon, okay." She says.

“I will, I promise, I have to go as I’m here at the apartment," I say.

We hang up, and a beautiful tall woman with pretty black hair and long legs opens the door with a bright smile. "Hi, you must be, Mia. It's lovely to meet you. Please come in and look around.”

I smile and walk into the apartment, hoping this is the one since it's close to work and school.
