Hey guys how many of you want Greyson's POV. " Well, here it is." 💕

Greyson

“I’m sorry, Shelby, but he had it coming. He can’t just keep walking around expecting to keep getting his way.”

“I get it, Grey, I do, but there must have been a nicer way to go about it.”

I stare across the desk at my sister “What do you mean?”

“By the sound of it, you blindsided the poor girl and told her she’s going out for dinner with you. Did she even answer?”

I shrug, “Well, she didn’t say no?” I can’t help but notice a slight laugh from my sister as I answer, she composes herself before continuing.

“And then you head straight into Ethan’s office and tell him a lie is suggesting she was flirting with you in the lift and both arranged a date for tomorrow night. What possessed you to stoop this low? Are you trying to split our happy sibling dynamic up? Over a fucking girl.”

The calmness in Shelby's tone went from calm to super angry in a matter of seconds. She continued.

“We’re not 15 anymore, Greyson. You can’t go around playing with girls hearts and starting feuds with our brother. It’s pathetic.”

I felt like I was being told off by our Mother, I don’t know about acting 15, but at this moment in time, I felt about six and half expecting my sister to tell me to get to my room.

I took in a deep breath and nodded. “I understand, Shelby. But...”

Her face scrunched up at the word, but. She cocked her head to the side and allowed me to continue.

“...I do like this girl. I started chatting to her first, I all but got her the job and put her in Ethan’s line of vision. If anything, he’s the one who started this. So don’t expect me to back down from this. If it means us falling out, so be it. I’ve bowed down enough to him over the years, and it stops now. He needs to stop pretending to be Dad because he’s not and never will be. He needs a smack of realization that he can’t keep getting everything he wants. Starting now.”

Shelby looks shell shocked. I don’t think she’s ever seen me like this before.

“Fine. You make fair points.” She holds her hands up in surrender. “Do me one thing. Don’t get me involved in this anymore. I love you both equally, and I’m not interested in taking a side and falling out with the other.”

I nod my head in understanding.

She softens the time slightly as she picks up a stack of papers from her desk. “Now, if you don’t mind leaving, I have some paperwork that needs signing.”

I stand up from her desk and walk around to give her a kiss and a hug goodbye.

“Do you do any work? If you’re not at Ethan’s office, you seem to be in mine. I need a job where I can get away with doing as little as you.”

I smirk and a wink, “It’s all in the charm, little sis, all in the charm.”

I watch her shaking her head and laughing as I walk out, happy that we part on good terms because halfway through that conversation, I wasn’t too sure we would. She’s small but mighty is Shelby, a trait very much taken from our Mother.
