Isa's POV

I was rudely awakened by Linya's face right in front of mine. Like, inches apart. I yelped and pushed her back. She laughed a manic laugh. Just kill her, already. What are you waiting for? the voice in my head urged. "She's a human." I whispered. You don't know that. it retaliated. I felt a small object hit my back. I whipped around as another pebble hit my shoulder. "Would you stop that?" I asked. Linya scooped up another handful of pebbles and began throwing them at me. Rage was building up inside me. "I can't hold it in much longer." I warned. Linya cackled with crazed glee. Kill her! Rip her veins out and hang her with them! I gripped the gold chain. It burned my skin but the pain gave me focus. Another stone collided with my hand and I switched the chain for my new sword. "You don't have the guts to do it." the voice and Linya said in unison. "SHUT UP!" I yelled. I had lost it. I raced towards Linya, pinning her against the wall, my black blade against her neck. My vision was heightened, everything was sharpened. I felt a feeling of power. And I liked power. Like what you see, hmm? the voice asked smugly. I didnt answer, it knew. You can keep this. All in exchange for one thing. it continued. I kept the edge of the sword against Linya's neck. What does it want from me? I want to be a part of you. the voice answered my question. I had a moment of clarity. Then my cellmate began laughing, or was it the voice? The laughter rang in my ears. "Shut up!" I shrieked. "Shut up, shut up, shut up! Just leave me alone!" I shouted to the demon that was me, and not me. "Isabella, just let it go." Israphel's smooth voice cut through everything that was fogging my mind. I turned to face the wall where I knew Israphel was hiding behind. In absence of all logic, I released my psychotic cellmate and rammed the sword into the 'wall'. A huge crack appeared and the hologram disappeared, revealing my father in all of his terrified glory. I pulled the sword from the window and punched the crack, putting every ounce of my power behind the punch. The glass shattered and Israphel smiled. I screamed in rage and swung my sword at the demon. In a split second, he unsheathed a new sword, a glimmering golden one, and we engaged in battle. Block after block and parry after parry, I finally had Israphel on his back, my blade hovering over his heart. "Unlike you, killing is not easy for me. Enjoy your second chance." I hissed, taking a step back. Israphel, who was badly cut in several places, took the chance and teleported away. "Isa!" shouted a voice I thought I'd never hear again. "Ridge!" I shouted as the demigod sprinted forward and wrapped me in a hug. "Never, ever do that again." he whispered. I didn't have the energy to reply. He finally let me go and I stared at the ground. I cant let him see my eye. "Isa, look at me." he commanded. I shook my head. "Isa, please." he said quieter. I bit my lip. "Don't freak out." I whispered. I looked up at Ridge. He grimaced. "Did Israphel do this?" he asked. I stared at him. "No because I just decided to make my eye turn red, yes Israphel did it!" I said sarcastically. He rolled his beautiful eyes. "Here." he said brushing my hair over my eye. I smiled. "Thanks, Ridge." I said. I saw the others staring at us. I stuck my tongue out at them. Zoey grinned. "You know what?" I asked when I walked over to them. "What?" Simon asked. "Screw the nether." I replied walking into the hall. They all laughed and followed. We exited the portal and I laughed as rain fell from the blue sky. "Hey!" yelled a voice from the portal. I turned and ran back to the obsidian structure. Linya was there, arms crossed. "Forgot about me, hmm?" she said. "Maybe?" I squeaked. She laughed, it was a strange sound, the joyful sound that erupted from her. Linya sighed and looked up. "Its been too long since I've seen rain." she mused. I pushed her out from the cover of the trees. She smiled, an actual smile, and danced under the falling drops. I smiled a small smile. "Boo!" someone said from behind me. I jumped and turned around, laughing when I saw it was Zoey. She laughed too, and pushed me into the rain. Soon enough, everyone was playing tag under the grey skies. Some were flying, others were running. I was in the middle. I was running and flying. Rythian took to teleporting, though. Our game ended when Area 11 got back. The sun was setting and the band had brought food. Ridge sat beside me, occasionally fidgeting and looking back at the activated portal. Zoey had restarted the fire and everyone was roasting their own choice of food. Rythian was making steak, and Linya was somehow making sushi. People were chatting, and almost everyone was asking Linya questions. Eventually she got tired of it and got up, preferring to come sit beside me. I glanced over at her several times. I caught her whispering to herself many of those times. I heard the wooshing noise of someone coming through a nether portal and we all looked back. Sjin narrowed his eyes and several swords were unsheathed.
