Emperor Tsukihito's pov:
I sighed. I made different decisions today that might change my children's futures. But I focused on my Tsukihiko's future more. Tsukihime being a princess is safe. I signed her away to a friend's son. Toei being a good friend of mine made sure my daughter would be in good hands since they will raise my daughter with their son, Daiku.
Being an intelligent and obedient daughter she understood the situation we have now. She is welcomed to my friend's dwelling as I took care of the situation I have right now. There is an uprising revolution that might end my reign soon.
I sighed. I was thinking about what to do with my situation as my right hand man, Riyuu Kibutsuji came in the office.
"Your Majesty... Is there anything else you would like me to do? I mean except being your army general and friend." He told me as he sat in front of me.
"Riyuu... Do you think, that with all our men fighting with us, we would win against all my advisors that went against me?" I asked him.
"We can. I mean, we would because we have the army on our side." He said truthfully.
"I doubt that we will win this war Riyuu. And for that I want to ask for a favor from you.""What is it your majesty?" Riyuu asked me with eagerness to comply with my request.
"I will actually ask two things from you. One is for you to quit as my army general. Second is... Take care of my son."He looked shocked at my request. He thought for a while.
"What will you do your majesty? What do you plan to do when I quit as a general?" He asked."I don't think we will win this. Because more than half of your men are all traitors. I won't win this war. We won't win this war." I said hopelessly.
"What? Your majesty... I will apprehend them. So please don't do this." He said. I took the katana off the sheath on his hip. He was so surprised he stood from his seat.
"Even if you apprehend those men, nothing will change Riyuu, my best friend and confidant... I want you to take care of my son. But please do look after Tsukihime from time to time."
"What will you do if I say yes your Majesty?" He asked again.
"As your emperor I order you not to ask questions. Are you up to it or not?" I asked. I returned his katana in the sheath."Yes your majesty." He answered and bowed.
"Good. Go to Tsukihiko's room and get the big bag inside his closet and get out of here as quick as you can. Go to the place only you, me and the empress knows." I said and he went off.I know any second now, my enemies would come and force me to get off my throne. But I won't make it hard for them. My reign would go down with me.
I could already hear the footsteps of my enemies in the hall. I sat there not minding it. But I was scared about my son. Are they out of here already?
Riyuu Kibutsuji's pov:
Tears ran down my eyes. My best friend is now facing enemies without me. I should've stayed there. But I had my orders. I need to get the prince to a safe location.
It was lucky I got there safe without any interferences. I barged into the room and saw the prince looking outside. As if he missed going outside.
"Prince Tsukihiko... Forgive this lowly servant. It was his Majesty's orders that you are to be taken away from here." I said.
"Oh... So... He already had enough of a good for nothing child like me huh? Advisor Riyuu, where will we go?" He asked as I take the bag from his closet.
"I'll explain later but now I need you to trust me my prince" I said trying to carry him. But he was already too big to be carried.
"Take my hand my prince. I will protect you from anything." I smiled at him and he cracked a small smile at me too. We went out using the secret door in his room after locking the door.
Upon opening the secret door we heard shouting outside.
"This is the prince's room! Break the door open!" One of the men said.I hurried the prince to head inside and I closed the secret door properly from the inside.
We ran through the secret hall as we heard the men break through the door. The prince held my hand tightly. He was scared about what's happening. We reached the end of the hall. It was another door.
I took the ring of keys and calmly looked for the bronze key. After opening the door I take the prince outside with me. It was a forest. I was about to run freely with the prince when he stopped to look at front of the palace. We can currently see the front quadrangle.
They were going to behead the emperor! I wanted to help him but my priority is to help the prince.
I saw him look at our direction. I saw him hand sign something to the prince and he hand signed back. The moon gleamed on the sword's blade. I then urged the prince to leave with me and head somewhere. We headed to the place he, I and the empress knew.
The prince was crying when he turned away his attention from his father. He knows this will be the last time he will see him alive.
I held the prince's hand and got out of there. I only ran to one direction and it's somewhere only the emperor, the empress and I knew.
Prince Tsukihiko's pov:
As we ran I cannot help my tears from racing down my cheeks. I know... I know
I shouldn't have left him there. I could see how they made him suffer. My father all in all is a good emperor. So why?I could remember the words he hand signed to me. It was
I love you I'm sorry Take care and Go.Those were the words that I've been wanting to hear from him. But to be honest I should have been the one uttering them. That will be the last time I will see him alive for sure.
It took us hours to reach our destination. It was a big mansion.
"Uncle Riyuu... What's this mansion?" I asked."This is where your mother and father plan to retire after you take the throne. But sadly it won't happen ever." He took out his keys and opened the front door.
It was a beautiful mansion. Beautiful inside and out. Big enough to handle a hundred people. As we go in we were shocked to see a woman.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"I'm Merin Shin and I am the caretaker of the mansion. You must be his highness. And commander general Kibutsuji?" She asked us."Yes. It's a pleasure to meet you Miss." Uncle Riyuu replied.
"The pleasure is all mine." She replied."I'm already getting the dinner ready. I will be preparing the Master's bedroom and the second best bed room." She said and went off.
We headed to take a bath. It was a soothing bath. The prince was trying to make me see that everything was okay.
He played and made jokes with me as he usually did.
Prince Tsukihiko's pov:
After that bath I went ahead to my room. It was designed to look like something from overseas. It was grand and fitting for a royal. I was thinking about my father, mother and my sister.
Will they be okay if I wasn't even born as the crown prince? I sighed. I wish I could just forget my life as a prince.
END OF MY END....
