So that's the billboard? I thought to myself.
Cole on a billboard? That can not be true, not even possible.
We kept running, I had no idea why we ran, but we did.
"Hide in that corner" Cole screamed, pointing at a corner up ahead.
We slid into the corner and sat on the ground, which was cold gravel.
"Why -" I took a breath "did we" I continued, still catching my breath. "Run." I finally spoke.
"Because they're dangerous" Cole replied, also catching his breath.
"What? Have they kidnap you before, or something?" I asked, joking.
"No. They tried to kill me" Cole said without any emotion.
"They did -?" I began to ask, surprised.
"Can't kill me when I stab them first" Cole continued to stay while laughing.
"Y- you stabbed them?" I stuttered.
"No" Cole laughed. "I really didn't" Cole said, slightly smiling and grabbing a hold of my hand.
"Thank God, you scared me for a second," I said, letting out my worries.
Cole and I sat in silence for a moment, we catcher our breaths and didn't speak a word."Why were you on a billboard?" I asked suddenly.
Cole stared at me and blinked. "Y-you must've seen my bro- brother, maybe" Cole stuttered.
Cole let out a small smile, his smile looked fake, not even genuine. Genuine, that's a word he taught me, his smile, definitely is not genuine.
"Genuine" I quietly whispered under my breath.
"What?" Cole asked, confused.
"Nothing" I replied quickly after I realized I spoke my thoughts out loud.
"What's the holdup?" A bratty, squeaky voice spoke.
I looked up. It was Brynn.
"We ran from some…girls" I replied with a confused look.
"Girls?" Brynn asked. "You ran from girls?" She continued and giggled.
"They were…" I began to say, unable to find a word to fit my thoughts.
"Crazy" Cole spoke, finishing my sentence.
"Oh my gosh. Get a room" I heard a boy say and sigh.
Now Liam showed up, shortly after, so did Kai and Leia.
I glanced at Cole, I have not realized until now, how close together Cole and I sat.
"Get a room" I mocked Liam as I stood up from the ground then helped Cole stand up as well.
Once Cole stood up, he began to walk past all of us without saying a word.
"Leaving without us?" I joked.
No words came out of his mouth, just silence.
"Wait for me, Cole!" I gasped and ran after him, Kai, Leia and Brynn followed behind.
When we reached Cole's car, Cole climbed into the front seat, instead, he sat in the passenger side I normally sit in. After he got in he shut his door and began to put on his seatbelt.
I reached for the door handle and pulled on it, which it was locked.
"Cole, can you get out?" I begged and knocked on the car window.
