Dear Sean,
I already said I don't care about you being a guy.Guess what, I have a secret to tell you, I have a secret collection of Pokemon cards. Just kidding!
I really like to watch the old Mickey Mouse cartoons, because I love the animation. I also really like to read and write. I don't have much else to say. What do you like to do?
From,
Vanessa+++
I wrote my letter at home this time. We didn't have to write another letter for three more days, but Sean wrote back so quickly I just had to write back.
Mrs. Lyon said that we had to ask three questions and have to have at least two paragraphs, but screw her. I carefully write Sean's name and his address on the envelope.
"Mom! I'm going to the post office!" I call through the house. She doesn't answer, so I leave a note.
Went to the post office be back in a few. Love you.
VanessaI grab my bike and ride to the post office three blocks from here. In New York we have plenty of everything to choose from. There is actually a post office right around the comer from our apartment, but I don't mind riding my bike.
I put my letter in the big blue box and take the long way home. Even though I've only written Sean two letters and he's written me one, his life seems so much better then mine. He doesn't have to mind traffic on sidewalks and he gets to ride in a car that his family owns. It also seems like he has two parents. I wonder what it's like.
My long way home is short, but it gives me a little extra time to think. When I reach our apartment in the fourth floor mom is standing in the living area.
"Hey Mom, taking a break?" I ask.
"Yeah, I thought I would see what you were doing, but you weren't here." My mom practically lives in her room. She works for google and spends most of her time drawing. Yeah she works for google in that way. Sometimes it's cool, but most of the time it means take out and talking to a wall.
"I just wrote a letter to Sean. I think I'm going to take a nap." I tell her. "I love you." I add quickly. Recently I read the book Gone by Michael Grant. That book scared me so much, any time I can I tell my mom I love her.
I quickly fall asleep and dream of winning an award for one of my stories. Maybe one day.
