"Yah! Cho Seungyoun, don't be late. You know Seungwoo hyung, he hates late people right? I don't want to be the receiving end of his wrath " My best friend, Kim Wooseok said on the other line. "Aish... I know. I am almost there." I replied and he suddenly hang up, if I don't love my best friend, I would leave Wooseok behind and went ahead to meet Seungwoo hyung.

*sigh* I turned on the radio and connect my phone to the bluetooth. 'A music to start my day would be nice.' I thought as I shuffled my playlist. I am into listening some English songs these days.

As soon as I heard the intro, I knew it is a song from your favorite artist.

I remember the first time we met. You just went back to Korea for a vacation after spending your high school in US. You are introduced to us by your cousin. I remember, I really thought you are pretty wearing a simple white shirt, jean shorts and sneakers.

Soon after we became a couple. We celebrated your 18th birthday together and got a matching tatoos. We steal your parent's liquor when they away for a business and drink at the rooftop. When I heard these words I can't helped but to think, if you ever thought that way. I was hoping you did thought that in another life you would be the girl for me. In another life or in another world, we are able to keep our promises. There will be anything against the two of us. No objections, no pressures for us to part ways.

Our relationship went deeper and I decided to study in a good university in CA. My remember my dad was delighted when I agreed to take up a major in business in that school when, I initially refused at first. He is happy that I decided to follow his footsteps instead of what I wanted but, I did that to be near you. I sacrifice what I wanted because I don't want to let you go. We became inseparable. You almost live in my apartment and I, in yours. We were often together on every free time we both have. Our world revolve in just the two of us.

You knew that I love music as much as I love sports. You encourage me to still continue doing my passion whilst, I am pursuing a different path. You also love music as well but, your parents were never supportive. I compose songs and you would sing for guides. We are indeed a perfect match, a song-writer and a singer. Sometimes, when I missed you I listen to those recording to remind me of our memories.

I got a chance to meet my college friends not long ago. They went to visit me here. One of them actually ended up with your friend. They told me things about you. She commented you have your tattoo removed when she saw the one on my wrist. She said you are happier now with your husband and I heard you move to New York with him. I was a little hurt on what I heard but, I am happy for you at the same time. At least, you have someone who will be there for you.

It is really impossible for us to be together in this life, now. You are happier and loved by someone. I don't have a heart to take what you have now. It's just sad that we are not able to fight every hurdle in our way. In the end, you chose to end us so, we could live a better life.

And yes because of that, I am also living a better life at least, that is what other people told me but, all these money can't buy me a time machine. You can't be replaced by all these lavishes. I should've tried harder to convince you to fight for us because, right now, I am paying the price. My heart has a void that only you could fill.

I accepted this fact that you are my the one that got away as I am yours too. You are right at one point when you decide to end our relationship, I can't leave my parents behind. I am their only child after all. You, on the other hand, can't leave your life there. Your life was all planned by your parents and set to marry someone from your league and that someone will never be me.

I parked the car where Wooseok is waiting. "Hey! You were right on time, that's new." He joked as he entered the car. "I know you would nag if I was late." I said and started driving again.

Everyday but, I am all ok with what I have today," I said, smiling a little at my best friend. "Hope you'll found the one for you soon." He said before falling asleep.
