Chapter 24: No Remorse

Toni POV

We are running through the woods and I feel the wind in my coat. Cheryl mind is running wild it's a wolf thing we can read each other's mind. She is definitely enjoying it.

"Babe I just feel so free and excited like the world around me has stopped." She says excited.

I nod and walk up to her and lick her face.

"Babe stop I smell other wolves." I say looking around.

I turned around and see a pack of wolves coming towards us.

I growl low, "what do you want?"

"I think you know me," one of them say.

I slowly walk over towards them and they all bow to me.

I look around, " okay stop bowing what do you all want?"

"We want to help you. There are vampires roaming around lately and someone is going to die. We protect our own and for you to be the Alpha of wolves we protect your family even if they are vampires."

I look around and they are still holding their heads down.

"When is this attack happening?" I asked.

"Tonight!"  one of them says.

"Let's go and we will show them what we are made of," I growl.

We are all running towards the place where they said the vampires are and I smell them good as day. I let out a loud howl and 5 vamps come running out looking terrified. We start to slowly closer.

"Stop you wet dogs!" one voice says above all.

A lady comes out wearing all black she looks familiar I saw her in one of the books I read about my dad.

"You ! What are you doing here?" I spit out.

"I came to kill your family but I will do it one at a time. Starting with your dear mommy."

Next thing I know two vampires come out with my mom holding both of her arms.

"Mom," I say in a worried voice.

Cheryl POV 

I start to feel heat rising from my core they have Haley and Toni is radiating from anger. We all start making our way slowly towards them.

"Stop it right there if you come any closer I will rip her heart out."

We all stop and looked at her.

But then I hear a voice, "when I give you all a signal I want you all to attack."

I look over at Toni and she nods her head.

Then Haley breaks free and snaps the vampire neck to her right and we all began to attack. Left and right they fall and the lady that attack us she is killing a lot of wolves. She runs up to Toni but i jump on her and bit her shoulder blade deep. She pushes me off and run towards Haley and grabs her neck from behind.

"I couldn't kill your whole family but I'm going to take the main one from your heart."

She pushes her hand through Haley's back and rips her heart out. We all stop and look on in shock.

Toni runs to her and snatched her head off.

Toni POV

I start changing slowly and crawl over to my moms body sobbing.

"Mom get up please please,"I held her in my arms.

"Mom mom I'm so sorry I didn't get to you faster. Wake up please I still need you. We still need you." I continue to cry and Cheryl comes beside me still in her wolf form whimpering beside me.

"Baby she's she's gone my mom." I started crying louder.

My face is flooded with tears letting out a raging cry and growl. I pick her up and run towards the house.

I lay her body down on the mantle crying over her body then the door opens. Cheryl comes over and wraps her arms around me slowly.

"I'm so sorry baby I tried," she says crying on my shoulder.

"It's not your fault it's that damn clan."

"Baby your eyes." Cheryl says.

I lift my head up and look in the mirror they are turning red.

"And I will kill everyone involved."

Then I feel heat and my blood rushing as I let out a loud cry.
