Chapter 30: The Playoffs and Cheating

Toni POV

It's the first playoff game tonight. And we are playing a team from New York. I can admit I'm a little nervous but I have my family support. They actually are coming to my game. It won't be the same without my mom but I'm going to start dedicating my games to her and play hard. We had came up with a plan to take The Clan down but it's one bump in the road. We have to wait on Bonnie. She isn't the biggest fan of my family but for Caroline she's her best friend so she's helping. So today the school is having a pep rally to show they are behind us and ready for us to win.

"Alright team we haven't been in a playoff game in 10 years so we are going to show everyone that we are the best damn team on this field." Coach said in the mic.

"Yeah!" we all shouted.

"So we are going to go out there and kicked their asses. Alright Mikaelson take it away."

I stand up and grab the mic, "We have worked hard all year to give this school pride. And we are going to bring honor to this school. We want to see everyone single one of you to come and cheer us on to victory."

The whole gym starts cheering.

I go to the team, " bulldogs on 3."

1 2 3 bulldogs.

We stand up and start giving each other's hi fives. I look over at Cheryl and her and the Vixens started doing a routine. And I have to admit she looks hot as hell. She's front and center of it and I get every view from her perfect body and her beautiful angelic face. She sees me watching her and smirks at me. And I couldn't do anything but look down and blush.

Reggie pats my back, "looks like your girl is giving you a show Mikaelson."

I just nod my head and continue watching.

They finished and we all clapped. I was walking towards the locker room to get ready when I felt a pair of hands on my waist. But it wasn't that smell I was used to. I turned around and Veronica was standing there.

"What the fuck are you doing Veronica?" I spat.

"Chill Toni I was just coming to wish you luck."

I shake my head at her, " I have a game I have to prepare for."

I was walking off when she pushed me against the locker and kissed me. My eyes go wide and i turned her around.

"Don't ever in your fucking life do that shit again." I snarled at her.

She smirked at me and tilted her head down the hallway. I see Cheryl on the verge of tears and starts to run off. I was trying to go after her but Veronica grips  my wrist.

"Don't think you will win this battle Mikaelson. I know you want me and I get what I want." She says seductively.

I grabbed her by the neck and held her in the air.

"Don't underestimate me Lodge!" I snark at her.

I showed her my K-9s and bit her in her arm. And I let her down showing her my orange eyes.

"T..Toni what did you do?" she started to panicked.

" I bit you with my werewolf venom which is pretty lethal to vampires. So remember before coming for me and mines just remember don't cross me." I threw her to the floor and watch her run off.

I was going to go find Cheryl when coach called me.

"Mikaelson get your ass in this locker room now. We have a game to win." He yelled.

I shake my head running towards the locker room.

I guess I will talk to her later.

Cheryl POV

I was going to find Toni to wish her luck on the game but what I saw was more horrible. Her and that bitch Veronica kissing. Was this some sick joke how could she do this? I was hurt and I just ran off towards the field. I saw the Mikaelson family and they saw me and they just wave. I gave them a sad wave and the only person that caught it was Hope.

"What's wrong Cherry?"

Hope loves to call me that and it makes me smile a little.

"Your sister cheated on me with the Princess of the Vampire Clan." i said sadly.

She looks at me with a very disappointing look.

You think it could've been something different because I know my sister loves you more than anything.

Hope I saw what I saw if this is her I don't want to be apart of it. I mean she's supposed to be my fucking mate and she hurt me.

Hope gives me a sympathy look.

I will talk to her.

I just nod my head and run towards the tunnels to get ready for the team to run out. Everyone cheered as the bulldogs came out except me. I was hurt and I had tears coming down. But I had to suck it up and get through it. Toni stopped and looked at me wanting to say something but I turned my head and we started to go towards our position.

I Sigh, "this is going to be the longest game ever."

Toni POV

Cheryl wouldn't even look at me. My whole family is in the stands and Hope is shooting daggers at me. I tilt my head and she points towards Cheryl. I shake my head and just run towards the team.

The Game

It's kickoff and we get the ball first. I can't lie I'm playing like shit. I missed passes. I couldn't get the ball moving and I was like tripping over my own feet. This thing with Cheryl has my whole head going crazy.

Coach grabs me by the face mask, "What the hell is going on Mikaelson?"

"I don't know coach."

"Well you need to figure it out and get your damn head in this game. You're lucky we are only down by 2 touchdowns!"

I look over and my dad looks like he wanted to eat the coach. I hold my hand up and shake my head. He lets out a breath and folds his arms. I look over at Cheryl and she has this disappointing look on her face.

Archie comes over to me, "what's going on Tones?"

"It's just my relationship isn't going the best, Cheryl is really mad at me and My playing sucks."

He pats my helmet, "look let's win this game and you can talk to her after. We are the best team and we can do this. You have the whole team behind you."

I look and all the guys are nodding and looking at me.

"Alright everyone I know this first half I played horrible but we are going to win. So let's goooo!" I yelled.

We all go on the field and I started calling out plays. I throw a perfect pass to Reggie and he scores. Okay the score is 14-7 us trailing. But it's just the beginning.

I started getting yards and completing my passes. I even ran for a touchdown. The score is 21-14 with us winning by a touchdown. The other team has the ball and mad dog incepts the ball and run to the other teams 40. I get the ball and I see everyone is covered so I start running. I dodge one player and juke another and made a stretch to the touchdown. We celebrate and coach pats me on my back.

"That's what I love to see Mikaelson glad to have you back." Coach applause.

I take my helmet off and get some water. I go towards the cheerleaders and I pick Cheryl up over my shoulders.

"Toni what are you doing the games have 2:00 mins left?"

"I know babe but we need to talk."
