Chapter 42: Try to Remember

Cheryl POV

"Toni." I stand there shock as she starts moving closer to me. 

"Betty can you give us a moment?" Toni calmly says as Betty nods and leaves.

I'm standing there still not knowing what to say. She caresses my cheek gently and I just lean into it. We stand there in complete comfortable silence for a least 10 minutes then the bell rings for class.

I don't know what's going on with me my heart is racing and I have butterflies in the pit of my stomach.

"Babe I promise whatever is going on I'm going to figure this out." Toni kisses my cheek and head out.

I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and a tear slides down my face. I felt so loved and cared for it's something I never felt before. I sigh and grabbed my bag heading to class.

I walk in and the teacher stopped teaching.

"Ms. Blossom care to share why you are late to my class?"

Any other day I would had a snarky remark but I wasn't in the mood for it.

" I'm sorry sir it won't happen again."

"Please just take your sit."

I nod and take my seat next to Toni since it was the only seat available. She didn't even look at me she took a shaking breath and that's it.

"Ummm can we meet during free period I want to figure this out too?"

She nods her head slowly and I sit back and slump in my seat.

Class was over and I waited out the door for Toni. I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist.

"Hey beautiful," Caleb says while he kisses my neck.

I give him a fake smile but he thought it was a real one.

Toni came out and smirked, "Giving fake smiles Blossom?" She says and walks towards the gym so we can meet.

Caleb raises an eyebrow, "I thought you was done. Why are you talking to that bitch? Look your mom called me and said you wanted me back and said you wanted to work out."

He grabs my arm and surprisingly it didn't hurt. "You will date me and you will never speak to that fucking slut again."

I yank my arm back, "I can speak to whoever I please. My mom doesn't run my fucking life I do and she shouldn't interfere."

Toni comes over and pushes him to a locker I look at her and her eyes are fucking beautiful. Then I look she has fangs in her mouth. I stand back kinda scared but it turned me on because no one has ever stood up for me before.

"If you ever in your miserable fucking life ever talk to her like that again or put your hands on her I will drain you dry and send your body in a box to your family in pieces. I'm not going to compel you this time I want you to remember me in this state."

He shakes his head up and down at a fast rate. And she drops him to the floor because she had him dangling in the air.

She grabs my hand and walks me out the school.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"To my place we need to figure out what's wrong."

I follow her out to the parking lot.

"Did you drive here or....?" she asked me.

"No I rode with Caleb he picked me up."

She walked towards this nice ass blue Camaro and she opens the door for me.

"This is yours?!" I asked shocked.

She smiled, "Yea I have a few cars. Why you seemed so shocked? Oh yea you don't remember."

I get in and she closes the door behind me. She gets in and we head to her house.

Toni POV

We go inside and I don't see my family only my sister Hope sees us and stands there shocked.

" Cheryl where have you been we been worried sick?" Hope runs over hugging her.

Cheryl stands there not knowing what to do with her hands.

"Here's the thing she doesn't remember anything about me, or my life, and family. Someone messed with her mind or her mom had someone to rearrange it. Where is Aunt freya and dad?"

"They where out still searching for Cheryl."

I look over at her and she had tears in her eyes.

"Come with me." I pull her towards the backyard and we sit on the patio.

"Why you look upset."

"Because I never had people to care about me like this. And for your family to put their lives on hold to even look for me I'm grateful." She was sobbing at this point and I gently wipe her tears.

"I just wish you can remember how much you mean to me and to my family."

I grab her hand, "You are the most important person in my life and I will do anything to keep you safe I just failed this time because I didn't see it coming."

" I just want to remember." you she lays her head on my shoulder.

"And you will baby we will figure this out together."
