Chapter 29: Clear Your Mind

Toni POV

It's Monday morning Cheryl and I have been back in town for 2 days and we haven't really spent time together. She had to get back to her Vixens and i had to get back to practice. So that's why I'm waking up at 4:30 in the morning. I put on some sports gear and grab my water bottle. I get in my car and head to the field.

"Mikaelson glad to have you back." Coach said.

"Glad to be back coach, trust me I been ready to get back to practice."

"Yea we have playoffs coming up and I need my quarterback ready to lead this team to victory. Now get on that field and start practice." Coach says.

I nod my head and throw my helmet on.

After practice

I finish showering and high five some of the bulldogs walking out. And I was met with the most delicate smell I turned around and see my beautiful girlfriend walking down the hallway with her most powerful strut. It's like the world was in slow motion. I put my hands in my front pocket and start heading towards her. She smiles and pulls me into a kiss.

"Damn, I say grinning, someone missed me."

She rolls her eyes and shoved me, "trust me Mikaelson i missed you more than you know."

I smiled and grab her hand walking into the lounge. I sit on the love seat and Cheryl sits in my lap. Veronica walks in holding Betty's hand.

"Hey Choni." she says sitting down.

"Hey V, "Cheryl says leaning back on me.

I just wave my hand and look down at my phone.

"Wow someone is in a bad mood." Betty states.

"No I'm just in one of those moods. Look I need to go I need to catch up on some work." I kissed Cheryl on her cheek and head out the lounge.

Cheryl POV

That was weird Toni whole mood had changed when Veronica walked in. I know I told her she's a vampire but it's like she was in another whole mind set. We haven't really talked since we been back into town, but I get it you may need your own space. So I excused myself from them and go and try to find Toni.

I look in class rooms, the gym, and bathrooms. And to my knowledge no luck. I was walking past the music room and I hear a piano playing. Toni wasn't singing she was just playing this sweet melody. I lean on the door listening and it's like a sweet sad slow song.

I sit beside her and she has tears coming down her face. I wait till she is done playing and I wrap my arms around her shoulder and pull her into a hug.

"It's okay baby I'm here and I'm never going to leave you."

She nods her head sobbing and I rub circles in her back. The bell ring for first period and she looks at me.

"Do you want to skip?" I asked her.

She just shakes her head, "We have to go to class we already missed to many days."

I stand up and hold my hand out for her which she takes gracefully.

Toni POV

I want to tell her so bad about everything. But I don't want to keep lying to Cheryl about Veronica.

"Babe I have to tell you something important." I say with a serious look.

Just then Veronica walks in with a smug grin.

It's like she's around every corner spying on people.

I look at Cheryl and whisper, " clear your mind I want to talk to you."

She looks around the classroom and raised a perfectly arched brow and nod. I can feel the walls breaking down and I have a clear path to her mind.

Veronica is not to be trusted.

She looks at me, "why?" she asked.

Because she is this princess of the Clan that killed my mom. She had my mother killed babe.

She turned her head to Veronica and I can feel her anger getting the best of her.

Baby calm down my family and I are coming up with a plan to stop her. But I don't want her know we know about her. So patience baby.

She grabs my hand under the table and nod her head.

Trust me we will end that lying bitch.

I smirk at her and nod my head.

Cheryl POV

I honestly don't understand this feeling. Like I'm so angry and I feel betrayed. It's so much running through my head. Veronica is a fucking liar and all I want to do is snap her neck. I trust Toni and I put all my faith in her.

It's the end of the day and I was walking towards the field for practice. It's a lovely day for practice on the field so why not. The bonus is I get watch Toni practice and we both can keep an eye out on Veronica.

"Okay bitches!" I say in my HBIC voice.

"We have a very important game coming up soon and I have a new routine we need to complete. So all eyes on me and if you don't want your asses kicked off my squad." I crossed my arms.

"Line up!"

I started with movements and I feel eyes on me. I turn around and half of the football team is staring in our direction.

I close my eyes, " Toni if you don't get you don't control your dogs I will happily put them down."

Next thing I know Toni comes through the crowd and I see her cursing and shouting at them.

I smirk and flirty wave at her and she just shakes her head and runs off. Damn her ass in those pants I could bite.

I turn back to my squad, "okay run it again!" I yell
