Chapter 24: The incident that ended it all

Y/n's POV. 

Hayden was at the studio and Maddie was at school and I well I was sitting on the couch feeding the baby and myself watching a movie. 

    I had just turned on the movie when my phone rang 

Y/n: Hello 

Maddie's principle: Hello, Mrs. Inacio 

Y: yes this is she

Mp: I was just calling to inform you that Maddie has OSS for the next few days, she will need to be picked up at this time we are gathering her classwork and homework up now for the next 10 days that she will not be present at school. 

Y: hold on, wait a minute why does my daughter have OSS? 

Mp: fighting, Maddie would you like to tell your mother what happened? 

M: yes sir. 

M: hey mom 

y: hey honey what happened? 

M: I was getting pushed around by this girl and her boyfriend In lunch today and I defended myself. 

Y: let me speak to your principle. 

Mp: hello

Y: why is Maddie being punished for defending herself?! 

Mp: Mrs. Inacio she is not in trouble we are giving Maddie OSS because we feel that her safety is in jeopardy with the two students being here at school with her we are giving her out of school suspension because to expell these two students it'll take 10 days that is 5 days for each when the boy gets expelled then the girl's record will then go through after 5 days so we think it is best if Maddie stays home for those 10 days and on the 11th day we would love to have her back here at MHS (Modesto High School). 

Y: okay that makes me feel a bit better, I will have to call her father and let him know because he has to drive past the school anyway. 

Mp: okay, we will see him shortly. 

*Hangs up the phone* 

There was several thoughts running through my mind at that very moment, nobody knew what I was thinking except for me obviously. 

when I had called Hayden and told him what had happened he went straight to the school and picked Maddie up when they had gotten home, Maddie finally broke down and told us that she was in big trouble she had told us that she caused the fight and she was the one getting expelled which I didn't believe because no adult is going to lie to a parent especially not a principle. Hayden and I didn't know what to say or think and we thought she was lying until we got a knock on the door....
