needle and a thread
gotta get you out of my head
needle and a thread
gonna wind up dead
you watch me
bleed until i can't breathe
i'm shaking
falling onto my knees
and now that i'm without your kisses
i'll be needing stitches
A deep gash starting from his ankle still a few inches below his knee, was bleeding and very painful. Talia only wished she'd noticed it sooner.
How could I miss it? Well maybe the reason to that is because I nearly got killed myself. And I just found out giant mutant turtles exsist.
He seemed to be in a lot of pain, so she gave him some pills to help with that. Next she quickly ran into the bathroom and opened the cabinets. Searching for some needles and thread. Once she found what she was looking for she went back to him, kneeling down on the floor beside her bed.
"Hold still, this is gonna hurt." She warned. He just nodded, gripping the sides of the bed.
Talia then began her work, sewing the thread in and out of his skin, carefully wiping the blood away with a cloth soaked in peroxide. He gritted his teeth, clenching his jaw as his eyes squeezed shut. He gripped onto the bed more tight with each prick and pull. She only focused on what she was doing, hating to put him in pain and possibly mess it up.
He would sometimes make noises, whether is was a groan or a shout. It only made her want to finish up quicker. "I'm almost done." She finally muttered, he didn't reply, but Talia could feel his stare.
Soon, all was done and she put the thread and needle away. She wiped gently at the newly stitched area before wrapping it up carefully in gauze.
"Done..." She says with a sigh, her hands covered in blood and shaking slightly.
She got up and walked over to her bathroom that was attached to her bedroom. She washed her hands, glancing up at her reflection in the mirror. She took a shaky breath, gripping the side of the sink with her wet hands. Water dripped off of them and fell onto the floor. A few drops hit her feet. After a few seconds, she recollected herself and turned off the water before exiting the bathroom.
"How... How did you learn all that?" He asked once she came back into the room. He seemed to relax more, his hands barley gripping the bed.
"A friend taught me..." She muttered.
He only nodded, his ocean orbs looking over at her warily.
"I'm no threat to you.." She said after a while, "And I am no threat to you." He replied.
Talia didn't say anything after that, neither did he. It was just silent. Cold hard silence. Something she was so used to, that it didn't even bother her. Movement caught in the corner of her eyes as she moved her cause from the floor to the turtle, who was trying to get up.
"You shouldn't be doing that." She moves over to the bed side, "You're stitches could get undone, putting you in more pain. Plus, you need to heal a little before you move around."
He grunted, resting his head back against the head board of her bed. "I can't stay..." He mumbles.
She starts to clean up some of the mess by the bed, and by mess I mean the bloody cloths and cotton balls. "I know you can't, but it's nearly daylight, just a few hours away. You should stay for a while, before going to - wherever it is you live."
"I guess.." He says after a long pause. She thought he was probably thinking about it.
Talia just nodded, "If you need anything, all you have to do is call."
"Thank you... Uh..?"
She looks up at him, "Talia, my name is Talia."
"Thank you, Talia." He smiles a bit.
She nods, "You're welcome." Then she turns on the lamp beside the bed, turning off the other lights in her room. She tosses the stuff into the trash before walking up to the door. Her hand reaches out for the door knob but she stops when she hears him speak.
"Leonardo."
She freezes, glancing back over at the turtle.
"I'm Leonardo." He says.
Talia nods, "Good night, Leonardo." And then she leaves, keeping the door ajar.
