His hopeful expression is almost my undoing and I almost tell him I'll go back to his hotel with him. But some of the self control reminds me about how that would not be a wise decision. That space between us can be positive. I have a lot to ponder and it will give him some time as well. Tonight was the first time we have seen each other in years.

And I've already given into his sexual advances. If I was to go with him what little self control I do have would be thrown out the window. I'm not ready to go all the way with him just yet. We will end up in bed together before he leaves because I'm only so strong. I've already promised him that I would spend the night with him tomorrow, but for tonight I require space.

"I really appreciate the offer."

"But."

"But some space wouldn't be all that bad." At his sorrowful features I remind him, "I will be with you after the concert and every night till you have to leave."

"Promise?" He asks me offering a boyish smile.

As I answer I hold out my hand, "promise. I'll even shake on it." Dimitri takes my hand in his and we shake.

"Is there nothing I can do or say to get you to change your mind." He wiggles his eyebrow when he adds, "I'll even show you more of what my tongue can achieve."

"And that is one of the main reasons why I'm not going back to your hotel tonight."

"Skylar I was only kidding. I'll sleep on the couch if you want me to."

"What I want right now is to find Vanessa."

"Leaving me already?" How can a man make the puppy dog look even appear sexy? Apparently Dimitri can and does.

"If you would let me finish you would already know I want to find her so I can inform her you are taking me home."

"I'll take what I can get and if that's the case I'll even help you locate her."

"Always the gentleman," I grumble.

Dimitri takes my hand and leads me on the search for Vanessa. We locate her on the outside patio chatting with some of our friends. I explain how Dimitri is going to take me home only if she's okay with driving home alone.

"When we got here and he practically ran up tp greet you I already had an inkling he would be taking you home. So no worries. I'll be fine," she grabs me in a hug and whispers in my ear, "but are you okay with this?" I respond to her my nodding my head, but her eyes tell me she's not completely convinced.

"I want this," I tell her. "No, I need this. By me leaving with him we will have some privacy to talk."

"I just want you to be happy."

"And I will be. One way or another I will be."

We say our goodbyes to my friends and a very drunk birthday girl. Who I fear is going to have a rough hangover for the concert. I promise to call her tomorrow and make sure she has plenty of time to get ready before the concert.

Dimitri waves goodbye to his bandmates. Guess I'll be able to meet them tomorrow. I find it odd he never official introduced me to them. Maybe he's not ready to have his two words collide. A part of me isn't ready and I'm not the one who is famous.

We walk out of the club and parked in front is a red Corvette convertible.

"Yours I presume?" I ask with a raised brow.

He offers me a boyish grin before responding. "Kind of. She's a rental for the weekend. But I do have a similar one at home."

"Of course you do."
