You kept waking up, tossing and turning. You desperately wanted to sleep next to Chris, but the part of you that was terrified to pieces was stopping you. The rational you kind of knew that Chris would still want to be with you, but you just don't know if you could handle the possibility of the opposite. You stare at the top of your bunk, unable to sleep. You sigh and peek out of your bunk, wanting to go in the common room but not wanting Chris to be there. You can see his midnight hair scattered across his pillow, and you hear soft snores. You smile weakly before crawling out and into the common room.
You freeze when you see your brother sitting on the couch.
"(y/n)? What are you doing awake?" He asks softly. He knew you were still mad at him.
"I should ask you the same thing." You grumble coldly, walking past him to the fridge to get a water bottle.
"(y/n), can we talk? I'm so sorry I upset you earlier.." You could hear his voice wavering, and you don't say anything, avoiding his gaze.
"Please? I know I fucked up, I shouldn't have said those things. I haven't been able to sleep." He pleads, standing up to approach you. You back away, but then look at him. Your face is hardened with hurt still, but you figured you'd listen.
"I've been so selfish, I'm sorry I haven't been the best brother." He starts.
"Tell me about it." You roll your eyes.
"I've been really shitty and it's not fair to you. Instead of jumping down your throat, I should have been in your corner to support you, and I wasn't. Look, I don't have that big of a problem with you dating Chris, it just scared me how quickly you were jumping into things, I didn't want you to make that jump blindly, without knowing whether or not he'd be there to catch you. When I talked to Kylie earlier she said that he really does care about you. I also have to admit, I have seen how happy you are with him. I don't know where you two are right now or if you've talked since then, but I just wanted to apologize for causing so much trouble for you." He manages to choke out, a few stray tears falling from his eyes. You don't say anything, and you just look at him.
"I accept your apology. I just don't understand why you said such harsh things about me..." You cross your arms and look at the floor.
"In no way does it make it okay, but for some reason we've always been like that when we argue. I'm so sorry (y/n), I really didn't mean those things. You aren't an obsessive little girl, you aren't fucked up, and I wish I could take it back with every fiber in my being. We always cut each other to the bone, and we need to do better. Both of us." He fiddles with his hands. You nod. You open your arms.
"C'mere asshole." You smile slightly and he engulfs you in a hug. You hug him back.
"Let's just get through these last few days of tour, I think stress and lack of sleep is killing us both." He chuckles. "I may not agree with all of your decisions and I'll try from now on to always be in your corner, but I do love you (y/n)."
"I love you too, Ghost. I'm sorry I threw that mug at you." You laugh.
"It's okay, I probably would've deserved it. You should go back to sleep, tomorrow is our LA date, so there's gonna be a shit ton of people." He pulls away. You yawn and nod.
"Night Ghost." You walk back to your bunk and crawl inside. You still have a hurricane of emotions running through your head, and what he said still hurts, but you felt a little weight lift off your shoulders. That's one issue you won't have to deal with anymore.

"(y/n)... wake up." You feel someone poking your face and you grumble, swatting away the hand.
