I stood from the bed, rubbing the sleep from my eyes, stumbling into the "kitchen" of my hotel room, brewing myself some coffee. As I waited, my eyes darted over to Claire's sleeping form.
As if on cue, she opened her eyes, sitting up in bed and stretching before looking over at me. "Well good morning, Jack."
I rolled my eyes. It would be an even better morning if she'd get the fuck out of my room, but the words that left my mouth were different than my thoughts. "Wanna stay for breakfast?"
She raised both her eyebrows in shock, and I spoke again before she had time to, covering up my generous offer. "I'm fucking joking. Get the hell out of here before I stab you with a butter knife."
Claire gathered up all her close swiftly, leaving without another word. More like scurrying, without putting anything on. I shut the door behind her, whipping my phone out and deleting her number from my phone.
Making a tsk sound, I sighed deeply. "I didn't even get time to look at her ass before she left. Damn." I poured myself a cup of the coffee I brewed, taking a sip before looking to the nightstand. "Mother fucker.. she took my wallet."
I took my sweet ass time getting ready, thoughts entering my tired mind. When I'll be able to enjoy a good morning without being stolen from is beyond me, but if she thinks she's just going to walk out of here with my shit, she's dead wrong.
I flicked my wrist lazily at the door, stepping out of my room when it flung open. My eyes almost blackened when I took a deep breath, grinning now. I took off at a full sprint in her direction, using my senses to sniff her out. "Claire! I think you took something of mine!"
My grip tightened around the knob of the door to the stairs and I ripped it open, looking over the railing. "Going down~" I lifted my leg up and set in back down on the other side of the railing, along with my other one before jumping down, falling at least six floors before landing.
I stood, brushing the debris off me before barreling through the next door, putting my full weight into it in order to break through, watching her run to her car and fumble with her keys.
"Pathetic." My voice was low now, almost a growl as I calmly walked over to the lobby doors, walking out of the building and into the parking lot, listening to the manager call security on his phone.
Claire looked up from her keys and her eyes immediately widened at my presence. "J-Jack! What are you d-doing out here?" She tried to hide her stutter, smiling helplessly at me.
"Oh I don't know.." I shrugged slightly, my steps slowing as I neared her, stopping inches from her moments later. "I came to kiss you goodbye. I want to see you again. To marry you. To make little humans with you."
She looked more confused than frightened now, biting her bottom lip as her cheeks flushed. "J-Jack.. I don't know what to-"
My hands flew upward at ungodly speed as I grabbed onto the side of her face, pocket knife in hand as I shoved the blade into her mouth, cutting out her tongue. "Dirty. Fucking. Liar!"
She shrieked, the blood that filled her mouth enough to muffle it almost completely as I released her, fishing for my wallet in her pocket and taking it out. "I believe this belongs to me, Darlin."
"You might want to get that tongue situation looked into at the hospital~ I think you're gonna bleed out." I gave her one final wink before leaving her to die. I don't like thieves, and I certainly don't like it when people lie to me.
I didn't give her a chance to explain herself because every human is the same under pressure. They lie. All of them. Including Sean. In those little videos of his where he looks at shitty art? Compliments are lies.
On second thought.. she had a Ferrari. I turned around, walking back over and taking her keys before getting into the car with ease, putting the keys into the ignition and starting that bad boy up. "It's not stealing if they're already dead."
My foot pushed down onto the gas pedal, and I took off out of the parking lot, turning up the volume on the radio and rocking out to some classic songs like Paint It, Black and Even Flow.
Stealing a car?
I guess I should've expected.
You're very different.
From the man I love...
My vision started to fade at her words, my hands losing almost all feeling to them. "Stop it! I don't care who you are! Leave me the fuck alone for once!"
My head snapped up at the sound of screeching tires, and my eyes widened as two headlights came into view, swerving into my lane. "Fuck me.."
The collision was enough to sweep the rest of my sight out from under me, and I lost all consciousness.
I opened my eyes again, I was standing in this field of liquid gold, gazing at the sunrise. The smile that made its way onto my face was strange to me as my fingertips grazed the tall grain surrounding me, unable to stop myself. I wasn't in control.
A nostalgic feeling washed over me, and my smile faltered slightly, this place feeling familiar to me. Had I been here before?
"Andi."
A sweet voice called to me, using a name that felt like a distant memory. I turned around, catching a glimpse of golden, flowing locks of straight hair. My smile stretched larger and my eyes glowed at the presence as I spoke her name.
Hands abruptly covered my eyes, and I gently held the wrists of the person I knew to be my love. "There you are." My voice was soft, almost like Sean's.
She giggled, removing her hands from my eyes and prancing into my field of vision. "Good morning, My Prince."
"Good morning, G-" My sentence was cut off by an aggressive breeze, ripping me away from her. She let out a bitter cry, staring at me wide-eyed as the entire scene shifted, the atmosphere darkening, and the wind licking against my skin.
My expression twisted in discomfort as I looked down, the tip of a blade jutting from my abdomen, crimson blood oozing from the wound. The feeling was almost unbearable to me, and I looked up, reaching for her hand as the world faded to black again.
