1 | Introduction

I couldn't believe I was already on the flight back to America. 

My time in England went by in a blink of an eye.

I had so much fun and hanging out with my friends actually helped me forget about my job back in Los Angeles.

Not that it was a bad job. In fact it was a great job.

I still had no idea how I had even gotten it, but somehow I ended up working for Starmedia.

It was my first push into the media business.

Even if I had thought my internship wouldn't be that demanding, I would have been proven wrong after my first week.

It was constant work. If my boss Catherine didn't need me another senior manager would find something for me to do.

I was burried in it by the end of the first week.

That was why this short break had been much needed.

I had to feel some familiarity again after being alone on another continent.

I guessed it would be unfair to say that I was all alone. Catherine had become not just my boss, but also my friend in no time.

She had even been so kind that she had let me stay in her guest room during my internship.

Since my break was over, I had to head back to work. It was an incredible opportunity, despite all the long hours and stressful schedule. I had chosen a career in publicity and now had to make it a reality.

Sure, I still had second thoughts. 

What if I had chosen to follow my true passion of English and writing? 

Would I be able to live with the same stability that my current choice offers?

Nevertheless, I had made my decision and had to stick with it.

This job could get me just as far as writing and literature, I just had to work hard and stay focused on my future and my future only.

I had no time for second thoughts and definitely no time for any kind of distractions or romance. Right?
