I felt like my whole word was crashing down. The room was spinning and I felt like I was going to get sick. Sir was my biological father? There was no chance I was related to that monster.

"You're lying." I narrowed my eyes at him, trying my best to keep my voice firm.

"Suit yourself," Alexander shrugged his shoulders, looking pleased with himself. "But why would I lie about that? I could've said something absurd, like you're an alien from Jupiter."

Ethan eyed worriedly but I gave him a look, telling him I was fine. But, I wasn't fine. "Stop lying to me! I'm sick of everyone lying!" I tried to stand up and get back to my feet, but Alexander kicked me back down to the ground.

Ethan stood up abruptly, his face looking furious. "Kick her again and I'll—"

Alexander cut him off. "You'll what?" He jerked the gun in Ethan's direction. I looked over at Ethan with pleading eyes and he reluctantly sat down with a scowl on his face. I was in a lot of pain but I didn't dare show it, Alexander would love to see me struggle.

"I guess I should tell you what I came here to tell you," Alexander nodded his head towards Ethan, his gun still in his hand. "He comes with me."

"The hell he does!" I yelled, trying to get up but once again, was stopped by Alexander.

"Boss' orders." Alexander shrugged his shoulders. "Guess he wants to have a little chat with your boyfriend there." He really knew how to push my buttons.

"I won't let you." I snarled, glaring up at him.

"I was afraid you'd say something like that." Alexander said, feigning disappointment. I watched as he pulled something out of his pocket, but before I had the chance to do something, he leaped over and jabbed a syringe into my neck.

I hissed in pain, staring down at the syringe in shock and anger. I heard Ethan call my name frantically, but everything was becoming foggy. I tried to stay conscious and I tried to hit Alexander with my fist but it was no use.

"I..I'm...sorry, E-Ethan." I said, just as I collapsed.

Ethan Dolan

My eyes were glued to Blue's unconscious body laying on the floor, anger boiling inside of me as I watched Alexander coming towards me. "You bastard!" I yelled, swinging my fist directly into his jaw, causing him to stumble back. I heaved out a breath, my chest rising and falling at a rapid pace.

He looked up at me, wiping the blood that had come out of his mouth with the back of his sleeve. "You really shouldn't of got mixed up in this, kid." He shook his head. "Now get up and don't speak. Follow me, or I won't hesitate to shoot you."

I glared daggers at him. "You're
going to kill me anyway, aren't you? So what's the point?" I retorted.

"I said, follow me." He said a bit more sternly, yanking me up and practically dragging me out of the room. I took one last glance at Blue before he slammed the door shut.

"What are you going to do with her?"
I couldn't help but swallow nervously. My chest hurt at the thought of him doing something horrible to blue. That earned a jab in the back with a rifle.

"What sort of don't speak do you not get?" He snapped.

I'm going to die.

He shoved me inside of a room filled with computers and metal tables. There was a couple of small desks with lamps and that was pretty much it. He closed the door and I turned around, facing the man who Blue called Sir. That bastard shot me!

"Have a seat." Sir said, ignoring my harsh glared towards him, as if we was inviting me to have tea with him. When I didn't move an inch, Alexander pushed me not-so-gently towards a table.

I hesitantly sat down on the chair, my wuss never leaving Sir's. He grinned sinisterly, "There. Isn't that better?" He said, taking the seat across from me. "So, aren't you going to tell me your name, boy?"

I stayed silent.

"I guess if we're going to be exchanging names, I should tell you my name first. I'm General Benson."

"I know you and your little crew think Blue is some kind of monster." I inched closer to him. "But, I think we all know who the real monster is." I said, my tone obvious with resentment.

General Benson didn't look fazed by my words. However, his pretend smile had faded. He ignored my statement and asked, "What do you know about Blue?"

I was pretty sure he wanted to figure out how much I knew about Blue to see if whether or not I was worth killing. I was so angry, I almost lied about knowing about Blue, but I refrained. "I know that she's special." She's special to me. I wouldn't dare say that part. My heart squeezed in my chest at the thought of it. I was fearing for my life, but I was also fearing for Blue's. I knew I had to protect her.

"And tell me, how is Blue special?" General Benson raised a questioning eyebrow.

I swallowed. "I know that her blood is blue." I said. General Benson nodded his head, signalling that I should continue. "And I know that her blood makes her stronger, it can heal her faster." I told him.

"Did she tell you it can kill you?"

I felt my face fall. "No."

General Benson smirked. "Yes, of course Blue left that part out." He let out a dry chuckle. "One drop of that blood in a regular human's system and they'll be dead within the hour." He said.

"So that's why you want her so bad. To use as a weapon?" I felt my hands clench into fists.

"She's special, like you said." General Benson ignored my question. "Did Blue ever talk about us?" He questioned.

"No, not until you tried to hurt her."

General Benson rolled his eyes. "Who else have you told? Has Blue told anyone else besides you?"

"Blue didn't tell me anything. I found out when she was bleeding. It came out blue. And Blue hasn't spoken to anyone but me." I told him.

"Answer my question."

"Huh?"

"Have you told anyone else?"

"No, of course not." I shook my head.

The General's eyes narrowed. "What do you mean 'of course not'?"

Taken back, I answered, "I would never do that to her. Because I—" I stopped myself mid sentence, almost admitted the fact that I liked Blue. I cleared my throat, "I wouldn't do that to a friend."

He seemed to accept my answer. "Well you've got yourself in a bit of a situation, don't you think? What will I do with you?"

"Well, I—"

"How about I just let you go?"

I stared at him in complete astonishment. There had to be a catch, he wasn't going to just let us out like that? "You'll just let us go?"

"Us?" The General raised an eyebrow. "No no. Blue stays here with me, where she belongs. Why? Is that a problem?"

My heart plummeted. "I...I can't just leave her—"

"Thought so," The General interrupted me, standing up. "Return him to the room please, Alexander."

At least I was still alive.
