"Get it mama." Davon laughed cheering me on as I danced from side to side in our kitchen to the Spanish music that was playing.
His family and my family laughed along clapping to the music. It was his 27th birthday and I'd given him a surprise party. However I was up dancing as if it was my party. I absolutely loved Spanish music since that was apart of me. Davon and I had been dealing with each other since we were teens and that music had grown on him. He respected and accepted it and started listening to it because he wanted us to be on the same page. I wanted the same thing so I'd started listening to rap music more because that was something he was heavily into along with older music. It wasn't that I wasn't into it but I was more so into the rap music from the 90's. A few months from now would be our third anniversary and I was so excited because every year he made it special. Last year he'd taken me to Jamaica and I didn't know if he'd be able to top that because I didn't want to leave it once I got there. He knew I'd been wanting to visit since forever. We spent most of the time there in the hotel room having sex if we weren't out spending time. That man could always make me feel a way no other man could. He was my all.
"Okay." Davon continued laughing getting up from the chair I'd made him sit in so I could put on a show for him. "That's my lady right there!" He yelled looking around at everyone with the biggest smile on his face. "You muthafuckas better make room. Come on mama." He encouraged me as I turned around slowly swaying my hips from side to side.
He got behind me holding me by the waist pulling me back into him as I continued to move. I reached up since he was a giant compared to me and wrapped my arm around his neck. I was shocked when he actually started moving in sync with me wrapping his arm around my torso leaning down kissing my cheek.
"That's my baby!" His mother yelled as everyone burst out laughing. I loved his mother and her energy. Davon told me that was why him and I always bumped heads. He said that I was just like her with my blunt attitude and stubborn ways.
"I love you." He whispered to me and I looked up over my shoulder at him puckering up my lips. He pecked them but held it for a few seconds before pulling back.
"I love you too." I smiled.
"Do ya thang baby." He stepped back and I did as told moving my hips from side to side spinning around.
