Chapter 20

A/N: I know that it has been a while since I last updated, I broke my ankle at the beginning of august then school started. I'm a senior in high school who goes to a doctor's appointments and physical therapy constantly for my ankle plus I'm also team captain for my robotics team. So basically I'm apologizing for being so late guys!

         The next morning I rolled over in bed not wanting to get up at all until I heard my door open. Then I felt a little hand moving my checks up and down "Tell her to wake up Cassie" I heard Kelly say. I groaned before pulling Cassie into me kissing her check a bunch of times hearing her squeal in excitement made me so happy. "Leaha here I told her to let me wake you up before she comes up," he said. "Thanks, kells, Tell her I'm going to take a shower and be down in a minute," I say. He nods grabbing Cassie from me "Oh I and Cas will be spending the morning with your mom while you and Lee cook." he said. "She will love that," I say with a smile as he walks towards my door "I know," he says before shutting the door.

         I jumped out of the shower threw my hair up in a messy bun put on a crop tank top then some grey joggers. I walked downstairs and into the living room "Hey best" I say seeing her playing with Cassie. "Hey girl," she said to me not taking her eye off of Cassie I smiled at them playing on the ground. "Alright, Alright Lee let me take my daughter back now," Kells said reaching down for her. "If you must boy best," Lee said slightly disappointed as she got off the ground. "Is your boyfriend coming to breakfast?" Kells said looking at me. "Yeah as long as he wakes up in time" I say looking back at him. He shakes his head laughing softly as me and Lee goes into the kitchen. 

         Me and Lee turned on music before getting out everything we needed for Easter breakfast. This is the first year we will have Lee, Rook, and Cassie for Easter. It is also the first year I will be going to spend Easter with Rook family. There was a knock at the door so Lee answered it while I was trying to get a pan from the cabinet. I feel hands snake around my waist and I jumped "Chill babe it's just me" Rook says laughing happily. I turned to hit him "Don't scare me like that!" I say sternly. I noticed he was dressed nicely "You look very handsome" I say as kisses my cheek. "You look cute to" he responded. "Do you need help getting the pan?" he then asked "It's on the top shelf shorty you can't reach it" I say chuckling softly. "oh really I'm taller then you" he say before he started tickling me. "ALRIGHT! alright" I shout laughing "Help me please" I say as he stopped tickling me. He turns me back around facing the cabinet before placing his arm around my legs and I feel so unsteady. I squeal "Don't drop me!" I shout as he lifted me up "I'm not stop gripping my shoulders so hard Geez" he said. 

       "Okay I got it" I say as I grab the pan before Rook puts me down. "Thank you" I say and he smiles happily "I told you I won't going to drop you" he said. "Alright, I'm officiously jealous now please Rook leave so me and my best can get to cooking Lover boy" Leaha said practically pushing him out of the kitchen. "I'm leaving, don't call me Lover boy" he says as he turns around and walked into the living room. "I need to get me a man, so I can be all cuddled up." Leaha said grabbing eggs and milk out of the fridge. "What ever happened to that guy you were talking to" I asked as I got the mixer out. "He wanted to get back with his Exe, to put it like he did I wasn't as pretty as her, or better then her" Leaha said. "I bet that's a lie" I say and Lee just shrugged her shoulder "It's what ever". I started mixing the pancake mix and everything while she started cutting the beacon. I hated that Lee always got played buy guys, her last relationship was with Alex they were together since freshmen year. Just turns out Alex was with other girls since freshmen year to, and I know that hurt her. 

       Breakfast was smelling great and my dad was finally home with more Orange juice and presents. I knock on the door to my mom room before walking in to see her smiling while talking to Kells and holding Cassie. "Hey, breakfast is ready" I say looking at them smiling happily. "I can smell it" my mom said "Colson sweet heart please push me toward the kitchen" she added. "Would you like to ride with me Cassie" my mom asked holding her hand and Cassie shock her head happily. kells lifted his daughter up and put her in my moms lap and I took a photo. Kells switched the brakes off of the wheel chair and started rolling her towards the door so I held it open. It's Easter Sunday most likely the last Easter I get with my mom I tried my best holding back the tears just thinking about it. 

     We finished breakfast, me and Kells were washing the dishes as Rook pushed my mom to the living room. I washed the dishes then handed the plate to kells so he can dry them. "It's the last one isn't it?" he asked his voice low and sad. I placed the plate back into the soapy water and started crying. Kells turned me to face him and hugged me tightly as I cried into his chest "It's okay". He shushed me rubbing my hair "Just let it out" he said before kissing my forehead while swaying us. "I can't believe this Kelly, how can see just be leaving us" I say in his chest "If she had a choice Lannie I think she would choose to stay." he said in a hushed tone. I pulled away from him my face wet from tears he whipped me tear stained cheeks. "Me and Cassie will always be here for you and your dad." he said and I nodded. "Why don't you go upstairs and get dressed" he said "What about the dishes" I said. "Me and Rook will handle it" he said to me rubbing my arms before shouting for Rook. 

       "Yeah" Rook said stepping into the kitchen and noticing my eyes were puffy. "Babe you okay?" he asked walking over to me "Yeah I'm fine" I say. "Help me finish the dishes so Lannie girl can go get changed." Kelly said to rook "Yeah no problem" rook said "thanks" I say as I walk out of the kitchen to the living room. "I'm going to go get ready, Lee well you come with me" I asked and she got up. We walked up stairs and walked into my room and shut the door, my outfit was already picked out and laying on the bed (Easter outfit above). "That's cute" Lee said as she looked at it "Thank you" I say grabbing it an going to get changed. After I got changed and did my make up Lee curled my hair a little. "So about yesterday what I been needing to tell you" I said "Yeah its about time" she said to me. "I took a pregnancy test ..." I say it was silent for a moment she didn't even move the curling iron. She just starred at me through the mirror "Lee?" I asked "Are you?" was all she said to me as she took the curling iron from my hair. "No I'm not" I say softly and she took a sigh in relief. "I don't mean to be rude by doing that" she said "It's just we are Jr's in high school and Rook he so I love with drums right now. " she added. "No I understand, I'm not telling him" I say and she nodded " It's probably for the best " she said.

         We sat outside as we watched Kelly lead Cassie through the grass to get the Easter eggs it was so cute. My mom watched so proudly she always treated Colson like he was her own son so did my dad. I was siting in rook lap and I leaned back to lay my head on his shoulder. He kissed my forehead when Cassie came back with a bucket full. She ran up to Lee to show her "Wow Cas that's a lot of candy" she said with a smile. Cassie giggled happily as Colson said "She will not be eating all that candy". "Awe you hear that honey our little Colson backer being a proper father" my mom said rubbing my dads back. "Well duh Aunt Emily I don't want my child running around like her buts on fire" he said and we all laughed. "Well I got gifts for everyone" My dad said as he walked inside to grab them. "Dad you didn't have to" I say as he walks back out with them "No it's been a tradition of mine to the girls in the family a bunny.

             "Lee you have purple one" He said handing her the fluffy one. "Cassie has this one" He said hand her a small pink bunny. "And for my little girl, a grey and blue one" he said handing me one. Cassie squealed in excitement at her new bunny as me and Lee said thank you. Then my dad handed Rook and Kelly a coat "and I always got the boys a coat" he said. "kids stand in the yard I want a picture of all of you" my mom said and we all walked over. We sat Cassie down and all the bunnies beside her, Kells bent down to help her stay still. Lee put her hand on Kells right shoulder, I put my hand on Kells left shoulder. Rook put his arm around my waist and I placed my hand on his back and we all smiled happily.
