"Awe look at my baby, growing up to be such a successful woman."
"Come on mama, just take the picture." We gather around holding our diplomas.
"Im sorry, its just so hard to believe your grown now. No more acne, no more blood stained undies, no more...
Previously you got just a little glimpse of how Zeena, as a New Yorker, would get by in a conversation. It was very chill and relaxed yet some terms brought some rawness and some Imma beat yo ass-ness to the plate.
Being a Cali girl, I know the ups, downs and in-betweens of the most wonderful yet wicked state on this planet. But, since Michael wasn't originally from California, he didn't really pick up on the California language, in fact he spoke beautifully on his own.
But at some point in life he did take pride in his emotional citizenship with the dream state. His way of speaking was much more delicate than Zeena's yet he still keeps that soul in there, that makes you never forget his spirit whenever he open his mouth.
Now here are the Cali- inspired phrases that Michael (in this story) would typically witness and possibly use.
(Greetings)

So apparently New York most def has more slang used in their town than us. Or no, lemme just rephrase that, Cali is just a little less consistent with our vocabulary. Yeah, that the way to say it.
Michael as a person most likely rarely used these words in everyday language but none the less he is familiar with these phrases. Its pretty lit to see how the different lifestyles merge together to create something so... off but correct at the same time.
Anyways, catch you dudes later. I got writing to do🖤💜
